Chapter 3: What happened, is a secret.

Here begins the start of the long chapters!! It's more work on me but I will gladly write more for the satisfaction of others. Enjoy!!

Chapter 3: What happened, is a secret.

"So Maria, is the food to your liking?" Zach asked while picking at his own plate slightly.

For lunch we had a basket of sweet rolls, a choice of fruit or vegetables, a main dish of sweet and sour chicken.

"Yes, the food is wonderful!"

For the rest of lunch we talked about our likes and dislikes. Zach like cats and dogs, adventure, and a challenge. He doesn't like liars and cheats, and is against the cruelty, mentally, physically, or emotionally, to people or animals. He is such a charming person!

"Thank you for inviting me today Zach"

"No problem Maria. You should come over more often."

Today was very nice and my night would have stayed nice but once again I continued to think about that day when I found every dead. Since then Celeste has been then only other person at my estate. Sometimes I will catch him looking at me with such a sad expression I can't help but feel upset. Of course I'd never tell him about me knowing about the way he looks at me.

When we got home I was surprised to see Celeste head straight to his room. Once again he seems mad at me for something. I probably should confront him about his attitude, but I have a feeling I wouldn't like what I heard. Heading upstairs I quickly get dressed for bed.

I've been laying down for at least two hours now and sleep still won't come. Ever since that day I have had trouble sleeping. I end up laying awake wondering who could've killed them. As far as I knew my family didn't have any enemies. I know for sure that everyone didn't commit suicide, the wounds weren't self inflicted. Sometimes I ask myself if I had some how killed them without knowing. But my aunt couldn't have been right about me being cursed, could she?

"ugh" I sit up and rub my face before getting up and walking over the window.

I remember the day I over heard my aunt tell my parents how she suspected I was cursed.

[Flashback]

"Cindy, I know you probably won't believe me, but I was looking through our family history" she hesitates for a moment before continuing."I think Maria has the family curse."

"That is ridiculous!"my mother and father yell at my aunt.

"Please hear me out! The only other girl born into this family with dark brown hair and strange eyes like Maria, had the curse." my aunt says trying to defense herself.

"The curse is about as real as ghosts Charlotte."my mother says calmly.

"Then explain Maria's fascination with death." my parents were lost for words.

[End of flashback]

That was as much as I heard before I ran up to bed. Maybe my aunt was right. Maybe I am cursed.

I didn't remember falling asleep in the window until Celeste woke me up a little after noon. I slowly opened my eyes room see him staring at me closely. "Are you not feeling well today?" he asks concerned.

"I'm fine. I just has a harsh time falling asleep last night." I yawn and try to get up only to see that he won't move.

"You have such a cute yawn." he says while giving me a small smile. I can't help the blush that makes an appearance."thanks" I mumble. He starts to move but I'm shocked when he moves closer. "What are you-" I get cut off by him kissing me.

At first I'm too shocked to do anything. But then I'm shocked that I'm kissing him back. His lips were so soft. He breaks the kiss so that we can breathe but then he's kissing me again. I can't think straight. I don't realize when he picks me up, or when the kiss becomes more passionate. I was completly lost in the moment.

Later I find myself wrapped in his arms. I can't believe what just happened. If I had thought he liked me before then now I know for sure.

We lay there saying nothing for a while until Celeste breaks the silence."No ones can know about what happened" was that fear I heard in his voice? I can't find my voice so I just nod. "Maria, your not mad at me are you?"

"Why would I be?"

"Because, if anyone finds out then we're both dead."

I look at him mischievously before whispering in his ear, "then I guess it'll be our little secret." He looks at me before rolling me over so that he is now leaning over me. He looks up my body slowly before kissing me again.

!! Longer chapters! Yay! This one was kind of awkward to write towards the end, but I figured I would add a little bit of romance in this before it got boring. !!
