Zach P.O.V

Something was different with Maria. At her party she avoided me and I heard rumors of her being with her servant. I will make her mine, no matter how hard this task will be.

First off, I need to know for sure if the rumors are true. I need someone I can trust in that house. Now that I think about it, she did only have the one servant. Maybe I could send one of my maids over to work for her. Yes, that is what I'll do.

"Kasey!"

She ran in the room."yes my prince?"

"I need you to go and work for Maria. But I also need to spy on her for me. Understood? You will tell me who lives with her, what she does, and lastly any and all of her intimate relations with anyone " she nodded and left to go pack her things.

Kasey P.O.V

As I approached Maria's home I became more and more nervous. I knocked on the door anal waited. Her butler answered the door." Yes? "

"I would like to speak to M'lady Maria about working for her."

"Uh, alright come on in. I'll go get her."

She kept asking me questions such where I was from, how I knew of her, and my past 'masters'.

Lie.

That was all I could think of. She finally said yes and showed me my room.

"The only time you need to dress formally is during a dinner party or any other public event. Tomorrow you can work on dusting the library." I nodded and then she left.

Maria P.O.V

I knew she has lied about everything. Just as I knew she was working for Zach. But for now I'll just play along with his game.

"What are you doing?" I ask Celeste.

"I'm memorizing your scent."

".....why?"

"Just stop talking." He purred in my neck which made me shiver. So I didn't talk. I just rolled us over so that I was straddling him. I kissed him quickly on the lips and then trailed kisses down his neck and chest. I smiled when a soft moan came from him. Before I could react he was on top of me kissing me. His hands snaking up my shirt and then resting on my hips. One of the perks to being a vampire now is that I don't have to breathe. So our kisses could last forever. I wrapped my legs around his waist and pull him closer to me.

When morning came, Celeste was already up and gone. He was probably fixing breakfast or showing Kasey around. I got dressed and headed down to the kitchen where Celeste was indeed making pancakes, eggs, and sausage.

"Breakfast smells good." I comment. He nods and then goes back to cooking. I was about room ask why he wasn't talking but then Kasey made an appearance. "I took the trash out Celeste- oh good morning m'lady." She said with a small curtsie. "Morning. Do either of you know where Demetri is?"

"I'm right here what do you need?"

"Follow me."

When we got outside I turned to him. "I have two things. First off Kasey is a spy for Zachariah, don't get close to her. And second...."

"Yes?" He asked when I didn't reply.

"Can-"

We were cut off by Kasey screaming. We ran back to the house and to the kitchen. "What happened?"

"I don't know. One minute she was helping me cook and then she's on the ground screaming "

"Kasey what happened?"

"I-I don't know. I was fine but then a terrible pain went through me."

We all looked at each other. "Has this ever happened before?"

"Once... When-" she got quiet when she realized she almost gave away Zach's plan.

"When what?" Demetri encouraged.

She looked down. "When Zachariah got mad at me." She spoke so quietly that without my new vampire hearing skills I wouldn't have heard her. " Decidas quae facias ei Demetri." [Latin for: You decide what to do with her Demetri.(I used Google translate so I'm not sure how accurate that is.)] I said so she wouldn't understand. "Purus."[Okay] he said with a smirk.

Demetri ended up locking her up in the cellar for the time being. She has a bed, clothes, washer and dryer, bathroom and books. And she gets food three times a day with an abundance of snacks down there for her. I sent Zach a letter thanking him for the new maid, but told him she was ill. He has yet to reply. Looks like this will be a tough situation to get out of.

!! I'm thinking of putting up a chapter everyday, and then on Monday's and Friday's have the longer chapters. What do you think? Comment and let me know, if no one comments then I'll just continue them uploading I've been doing. !!
