Prologue

10 Years Old

Pain. Evil laughter. The dirt beneath the ten year olds body soon coated her skin as she rolled around on the ground. The force of the kicks and punches moved her around and stained her body with the colours red and purple. Cuts covered her body along with already made scars. The abuse she'd endured for years had caused her to be able to kill easily, and become immune to showing her pain as well as her other emotions in front of them.
"Thats enough!" A slithery voice called out to his men. He saw that the girl was bleeding excessively and wasn't putting up a fight. He no longer had any use for her. "Get rid of her. She'll die anyway." The girl looked up at the man she hated passionately. Orochimaru, a snake like man. The two men sneered down at the child and did as their master asked. One of the two picked her up and trudged out of the cave, moving so few metres away from it, before throwing her to the ground. He gave her one last kick then turned and went back to the cave.

Katsu lay there unmoving for a while before mustering up the rest of her strength. She pushed herself up to her feet and stumbled away. Her mother had mentioned knowing people in a place called Konoha. She needed to find the village and she needed to survive. With those thoughts in mind, she ran off awkwardly towards the direction she believed Konoha to be in. Her body ached and blood dropped out of her many wounds. The journey was tiresome and brought her to the brink of exhaustion. Finally arriving near the gates. She collapsed on the path and gave in to the darkness pulling her in.
