I'm Pregnant?!

Months passed and the Chuunin Exams flew by. It was quite a hectic time as the exams were interrupted by the Sand shinobi. Hiruzen died by going against that bastard Orochimaru. Tsunade became our next Hokage and Sasuke had left to go after his brother. A lot had happened and a lot of us were in pain over the events that passed. Sakura was devastated that the boy she loved had left her, while Naruto tried going after him only to end up being found unconscious and badly injured. That didn't stop him though, as he was still determined to get his friend back. I believed in him and knew that if anyone could get some common sense in Sasuke's head, it would be him. Jiraiya had confronted me a few days ago about how he wanted to take Naruto away for a few years to do some training. He wished to take him on as his student but wanted to get my permission. I considered Jiraiya to be like my own family and so I told him that he could do as he wished, but he had to promise to keep Naruto safe.

It was a couple days before Naruto was planning to leave and he was making sure to spend every moment he could with me. Bless his heart. For the past few weeks I'd been throwing up every so often and kept feeling tired easily. I'd asked Tsunade about it and she seemed to look like she had an idea so she'd done a few tests. I was to go and see her today for the results. Naruto had been concerned over my behaviour, as well as Kakashi, and so Naruto was coming with me to see her. Kakashi was busy today doing something or other, so he couldn't come.
"Come in." Tsunade called as I knocked on her office door. Opening the doors, Naruto walked in ahead of me.
"Morning Tsunade." I smiled in greeting, coming in and standing in front of her desk. She had an excited look on her face which confused me. What was she so excited about?
"I've done some tests as you know and have the results in." She grinned. "You're a months pregnant." My eyes flew open and so did Naruto's. Say what now?......
"Pregnant?!" I exclaimed in shock. "Are you being serious?"
"Very much so." She chuckled.
"Katsu-nee is pregnant?" Naruto gasped, turning to stare up at me. His eyes then fell to my stomach where the baby was hidden. My hands went to my stomach and I felt tears well up in my eyes due to happiness. I couldn't believe it. I was actually to become a mother!
"She is indeed Naruto. You're going to become an uncle." Tsunade spoke up, taking in my shock and teary eyed expression. A grin lit up Naruto's face at the news and he jumped up into my arms, wrapping his arms around my neck in a hug.
"I'm gunna be an uncle! Believe it!" He laughed happily. Chuckling at his behaviour, I hugged him back.
"Thank you Tsunade-sama." I smiled thankfully at her. She waved me off and smiled in return.
"Just make sure you take care of yourself and come see me every so often so I can do checks on the baby ok?" Nodding in agreement to her words, I bowed goodbye while still carrying Naruto and walked out of the office. I needed to tell Kakashi about the good news! Oh Kushina, Minato...... I wish you could be here for this.

Naruto and I had been walking around town, too excited about the news to care about the stares we received from the townsfolk. We soon bumped into Kurenai and I asked her to come back with me to our flat. She seemed confused but followed me anyway after seeing the grin on Naruto's face and my own happy smile. When we got there, I sat her down next to me on the sofa while Naruto sat on the floor by my legs.
"What did you call me here for?" She asked with a soft smile.
"I'm pregnant." I explained. She froze for a moment before a hug smile lit up her face.
"Are you serious?" She gasped, flinging her arms around me in a tight hug.
"Yup. I'm gunna be a mother." I chuckled, hugging her back.
"This is great news Katsu. We need to tell the rest!" She beamed, pulling back to stare at me. "You stay here, I'm gunna get the others, ok? I'll be right back, keep an eye on her Naruto." With that she flew from the flat, leaving me with Naruto.
"Well she took that well." I laughed and Naruto joined in.

Soon we had Asuma, Iruka, Shizune (Tsunade's assistant), Jiraiya, Kakashi, Guy, Anko, Ibiki and Kurenai all stood in the front room waiting to hear what it was I had to say. Kurenai was stood beside me practically bouncing from foot to foot while Naruto was grinning beside me.
"Ok, I know you're all wondering what it is I have to say. But I want to say, that even with this being true, I can still kick your asses." I chuckled, hands on my hips as I met each of their eyes. "I'm pregnant." Their mouths all fell open and their eyes widened at the news. It was quiet for a while before they all erupted in cheers. Kakashi was in shock and Ibiki looked concerned.
"Oh my god! How far along?" Anko grinned.
"A month." I replied, smiling at her.
"This is what youth is all about!" Guy gushed, coming over and picking me up in a hug.
"I get to be an uncle right?" Asuma chuckled.
"Of course you're all going to have a part in this baby's life." I laughed, feeling happy that they were all being supportive. Kakashi still hadn't said anything which made me concerned. Kurenai noticed and told everyone to leave us two alone. Naruto followed along, telling me he'd go pass on the news to his friends. "Kakashi? What's wrong?" I asked, walking over and placing a hand on his shoulder.
"You're pregnant?" He breathed out. "I'm going to be a father?"
"Yeah." I smiled before frowning. "Do you not want the baby?" His eyes snapped to mine and they were wide with shock.
"No!" He exclaimed. I stumbled back a few steps, feeling hurt. He noticed my expression and groaned, rubbing the back of his neck. "I mean, yes. I want the baby. It's just..... what if I'm not a good father? I wasn't expecting this to happen....." Feeling relieved that he did want the baby, I went towards him and wrapped my arms around his neck, resting my head against his chest.
"You will be a good dad. I've seen you around Naruto and the team. You're brilliant with them and they love you. This baby will be a part of you and will love you. I just know it." He sighed, relaxing completely and returned the hug, holding me against him.
"I'll take care of you both, I promise. This family will stay together." He vowed, kissing the top of my head. My heart fluttered in my chest and felt warm as I imagine the four of us living a happy life together. Naruto, the baby, Kakashi and myself. We'd be together forever right?

A couple days later, it was time for Naruto to leave with Jiraiya. It saddened me to watch him go, but I knew that he would learn a lot from Jiraiya and become a strong shinobi. We were all around the front gates and Naruto had his bag on his back, filled with stuff I made sure he had packed. Clothes, food, drink, and his weapons. There was also a picture of the both of us in there that I'd made sure he had with him. Tears welled up in my eyes as Jiraiya stepped forward, giving me a hug.
"Take care of yourself and him, please." I sighed sadly, hugging him back.
"I promise to look after him. Make sure you look after yourself as well, that baby needs to be born to become a strong shinobi like its mother and father." He chuckled, ruffling my hair and pulling back. Next was Naruto to lurch forward and wrap his arms around my waist.
"I'll be back before you know it Katsu-nee. I'm gunna be the best uncle that the baby can get. Believe it!" He grinned up at me. I was happy he considered himself my little brother, and therefore he'd become the uncle to my baby. An uncle at a young age, but probably an uncle my baby would love.
"You will indeed. Baby's gunna need you to help me look after him or her." I smiled, wiping away my tears while kneeling down and kissing his forehead. "Come back safe, ok?" He nodded and hugged me again, keeping his head buried in my neck before pulling back and waving to us all as the two of them walked away. Sakura stood next to me, holding my hand while Kakashi stood behind us both, as well as Tsunade, Shizune and Iruka. The boy had a precious space in all of ours hearts and now he was growing up and leaving us for a while to train. I could only pray that he returned to us safely.
