Chapter Twenty Four

I was NightHaze...

Swallowed in the shadow, I pulled my hood lower over my eyes.

With one hand I gripped my katana.

As with my other hand I felt the earth begin to tremble, the walls sway, the roof crumple, the ground shake.

I felt the anger burn lighting the walls in yellow, orange and red flickering flame.

I felt the wind build, flying through the air hitting anything in its path with extreme force.

The others leapt into action, ready for a fight, weapons out.
Fighting off falling rubble, shielding themselves as the roof began to close in, the floor now longer steady, falling and rising.

They shouted and screamed for help, because this time there was nothing they could do to stop it,

HYDRA agents came out from hiding, shooting, bombing, punching, kicking, fighting.

But who?

Because this time who really was the enemy?

All along I knew HYDRA, my farther had only just started, making everything far to easy. That this old factory was to be a trap, where they would come at us highly armed and ready to fight.
Ready to kill.

And all along I had lied to myself, pretending that I belong with the Avengers, that I could change, that I was good.

But they were wrong, I was just like him, my farther.

I hovered in the air as I let the ground collapse. The roof crumple, the walls fall.

The fighting had stopped, all action dwindling to silence, because everyone had found there enemy.

Because behind my hood my eyes glowed a deep, dark, empty purple.
The infinity stone harnessed in dark anger.

When I saw his sickening face, screwed into a smirk staring up at me. My farther's body bloody and battered, his legs broken under the broken slabs of concrete.

When I let there faces burn, exploding the building into deafening flame and smoke.

Because I was here to win this game...
