Thor latched my arm, practically dragging my limp body down the un-ruined halls of Avengers Tower, while armed SHEILD agents surrounded me.
Nobody spoke, because truly what was there to say?
Mumbled voices echoed down the hall, seeping out the slightly ajar door.My head hung down as I scrunched my eyes closed, trying to block out my pounding head and aching body.
I felt weak as my head felt clouded, my vision swaying in and out of focus. I was sleep deprived, desperately needing food and water, yet here I was urgently wanting, actually, needing to see at least know how my Nan was doing, oh, and Steve."We can't let her go free, we need her. We need to find out the true details of this because I believe there's a far bigger picture we're not seeing." A male concluded. The voices finally coming to earshot, roaming the halls.
"She's an infinity stone for gods sake! We can't just put her in a cell, because as we know she can easily escape! She had to be here on her own free will!" An exasperated female argued.
The room silenced as Thor pushed me through the door, revealing Natasha and Agent Hill sitting at one side of a table, Bruce on the other side and Nick Fury pacing, finally coming to a halt.
"Where's the others? Thor questioned sitting me at the head of the table, locking my wrists firmly into Stark designed handcuffs.
"They went to....recover." Agent Hill answered looking right at me. All eyes on me, encluding SHEILD agents guarding dispersing out the door, leaving us to be. I buried my head deeper into my hood, pulling it down more over my eyes. The room was airy, with a strange quietness as if no one knew how to start the dawning conversation ahead.
"Where's my Nan?" I spoke weakly.
"At the moment she is with us, in one of our healing rooms where nurses and doctors are giving her great care." Agent Hill spoke again as the others gave me dumbstruck expressions.
"What do you mean great care?" I asked yet again, my emotions bubbling within.
"When the force hit Beth, she would have died, only when Steve shielded her it slowed the blow saving her. Yet still was very powerful. It sent them both flying back, her breaking a bone or two. She suffered from minor injuries but she will be rather black and blue and will now find it extremely harder to move and will find her body aches. But for now I would give her space, mentally I don't think she's ready to see you." Agent Hill spoke truthfully, laying her hands against the table leaning in towards me.
"Oh." Was all I could manage.
Bruce sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose and shaking his head.
"Guys, we need to stop with the small talk and actually state the real reason she's here."
Natasha, Agent Hill and Thor all nodded in agreement turning there gaze to Nick."Well, NightHaze where do I start? Your an exceptional assassin, who stays to the shadows. Seeking something, not letting anyone get in the way. We then capture you once then again, but this time you don't fight back."
Nick paused."Stark injected something into you and you collapsed, screaming things out swerving in and out of consciousness. Your heart then stopped. You woke up terrorising this place and the streets. But where and what were you doing?"
Nick stopped, dead serious."This isn't some game your playing now, this is serious. I don't think you realise that stone hanging around you neck is powerful and could easily take out this universe." Natasha finished.
The room fell silent, awaiting an answer."I don't know." I rasped.
"Excuse me?" Nick questioned.
"I don't know. The infinity stone took over, I don't know where it was planning to take me and what it was planning to do." I croaked, looking down at my hands, nestled in my lap.
"Then this is far worse then I feared." Bruce shook his head.
"The infinity is to strong for any human, to my surprise it hasn't kill you yet. There must be a reason it chose you." He thought aloud."What is it all about, what's your story?" Agent Hill questioned.
"I thought I knew what I was doing, but I see not. I was blinded in hatred all I wanted to do was kill my farther and get revenge. That was all, I never thought about what happened afterwards. But now it seems far more then that." I blundered.
"I now know as much as you.""NightHaze to finish this puzzle we need to know all the little details leading up to this point." Nick Fury stopped, leaning his hands against the table.
"I don't know about you but I've had enough for one day. I don't think anyone's ready till after a good sleep and meal." Natasha said standing to her feet.
I looked up at her then around to the others, nodding."I'll talk tomorrow, but only if your willing to help." I stood making my way towards the door, awaiting them to lead me to a room.
"My names Tresmae Williams and once I was normal, till one day my life changed, maybe even for the worst. Better to start off small." I finished pulling back my hood for the first time.
Revealing my true features...
