Chapter 5

Nate's P.O.V.

"C'mon guys, Addilyn is gonna be here any minute now!" I yelled at the guys. After I had texted her she responded with an okay and asking if she could bring a friend, I, of course, said yes.

"Bro do you think that the 'friend' she's gonna bring is gonna be the guy from her snapchat?" Johnson asked laughing, "cuz that would be so awkward"

"Who was he anyway?" G asked looking up from his phone.

"How should I know?" I muttered. We all suddenly looked towards John who slowly looked up from his phone.

"Why are you guys staring at me?"

"C'mon bro, you're practically obsessed with the girl" For some reason I clenched my hands at Sammy's statement.

"His name is Derek" He sighed. "The only thing I know is that they've known each other for a really long time and apparently seem to be really close."

"Like we haven't figured that one out." I muttered. A smirk slowly made its way onto John's face but before he was able to say anything the doorbell rang.

John and I looked at each other and bolted for the door.

I finally managed to shove him away and opened the door to find Addilyn and...

Addilyn's P.O.V.

"C'mon, you have to go with me!" I whined

"You don't think that'll be awkward? and I really don't want to be the third wheel."

"No! I promise it won't be awkward! Plus, his friends are gonna be there too" I put my hands in a praying motion and pulled on the puppy dog eyes.

"Fine." I cheered and did a little happy dance.

"Should I wear what I'm wearing or change into something else." I asked tugging on my shirt.

"Addilyn he invited you to a barbecue, not a five star restaurant. And you look hot in anything you wear so just keep what you have on"

"Shall we go then?" I asked. Getting up, I grabbed the fruit salad I had made and headed out towards the car.

I put the the address into the GPS and started the short drive to Nate's house.

I parked the car and we made our way towards the front door. I knocked on the door and anxiously look down at the floor.

The door suddenly opened and Nate stood in the door frame looking out of breath.

Nate's P.O.V.

"Are you okay?" Addilyn asked confused. She had her hair down letting the wind blow through it. She looked beautiful. I let out a sigh of relief as I saw Patty standing behind Addilyn and not Derek.

Snapping out of my daze I looked at her and smiled. "Yea, I'm perfect"

She smiled back at me and stretched her arms out. "I brought fruit salad" I laughed at her cute smile and took the bowl from her hands.

"Come in" I moved aside and let them pass, saying a small hello to Patty.

I led them to the living room where all the guys were sitting down. John sat up a bit as he saw Patty and Addilyn walk through the door frame. They all smiled kindly at them. I set the bowl down and walked over to Addilyn.

"Guys, this is Addilyn and Patty. Patty and Addilyn, that Is Sam, which you met the other day, Jack and Jack, but call the blonde one Johnson because it can get confusing, and that over there is John which also happens to be a big fan of yours." She let out a small laugh at my comment and waved at the guys.
