Chapter 2
Tris's POV
"It has to be Zeke. How did he escape from jail?" Christina asks.
"No, it can't be him. I checked on him just this morning. He might be fully recovered but he can barely even speak due to the trauma." Uriah says.
"What trauma? Shouldn't I be in trauma?" I ask.
"Well, he tried killing himself while he was in prison, but it didn't work. Now he literally cannot do anything." He explains.
"Then who is it?" Christina asks.
"I don't know, but we've got to find out. Or else history will repeat itself." Four says.
"What do you suggest we do?" Christina asks.
"Marlene give me your phone." I say.
"What? Why?" She asks.
"Because, Anon's main target is you. So you'll get most of the text messages and it's not good for your mental health either. Trust me I'd know." I reply.
"We need someone to stay by Marlene at all times." Four adds.
Everyone immediately looks at Uriah. It takes him about five minutes to get the hint, causing him to grunt in frustration.
"Why does it have to be me?" He whines.
I shrug and give him a wide grin.
"Anyways, I know you might not like this, but we need Eric and Peter." I say.
Everyone except four and I sucks their teeth.
"Think about it, they're the one who led us to the Erudite headquarters. So they could be resourceful."
"She's got a point." Marlene says.
"Cool, maybe we should meet here every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday." Uriah says.
"Good idea." I say.
By the time we're done talking, we've all come to agreement. I keep track of the facebook messages, Uriah stays with Marlene at all times, Peter and Eric will have the password to Marlene's Facebook account (to access on the computer), and we're not sure what Christina should do right now.
"So we meet here in two days from now." Four says.
We all agree and head back to our daily routine. Before I get into training, Four pulls me over to the side to talk to me.
"Hey, are you sure you want to do this?" He asks.
"Yeah, why not?"
"Because this might be very triggering to you. I don't want you to hurt yourself anymore."
"Thanks for being a concerned boyfriend, but I'll be fine." I reassure him.
"Good," He says leaning in and planting a kiss on my lips. When he pulls back, his face is still inches away from mine, he uses his thumb to gently caresses the area just above my jawline. "Because if something bad happens to you, and I know I could have prevented it, it'll break me."
My heart begins to melt. I stare right into his dark blue eyes and reassure him that I will be fine.
"Nothing's going to happen. And if I'm triggered, I'm coming to you first." I say, giving him a peck on the lips.
"Alright, I'll see you around three." He says giving me a hug.
"Alright, bye." I smile.
We both turn the opposite directions and go where we need to go.
