Tris's POV.
As soon as I got a text from Four, I immediately went into the meeting room. I was the first one there.
"Hey what's up?" I ask, forgetting that I'm giving him the cold shoulder.
"Tris, I am so sorry. You were right this whole time. Alex is one of the bad guys and I should have listened to you." He confesses.
"And it took you this long to figure out..." I mumble.
"She's planning on meeting with Anon today at 6:00 P.M, this might actually be our chance to catch Anon."
"Hey we came here as soon as we got the text, what's wrong?" Christina asks.
"Well we've figured out that Alex is a compulsive liar." Tris says.
"You're now figuring that out?" Christina says, eyeing Four.
Uriah, Eric,Marlene and Peter then rush into the room, giving both of us a questioning look. Four then begins to explain everything that is going on. He tells us how he went to visit Alex and she asked for him to pass her the phone and she saw the message.
"Alright, good. At six, we go meet them where they're meeting." Peter says.
"Good thinking. The only problem is where are they meeting?"
"That's very true. So what are we about to do about that?" Uriah asks.
"I have an idea." Christina says, looking at me with an 'I'm sorry' look.
"Okay we don't have time to waste, spill." Peter says.
"This can only work out if Tris cooperates." Christina states.
"Alright, anything to help Marlene." I agree.
"You might want to rethink that when I say this, but. I'm going need to Four to lead Alex on. You need to gain her trust and make her think you actually have feelings for her. That's the only way it'll work."
When I hear that, my heart instantly sinks to the pit of my stomach. It is true that that's one of the most affective ways it's going to work. But there are other ways. They might not be as affective, but they're manageable.
I look over at Four and he's intensely staring at me. As if to say, "This is all up to you, This is your decision to make. I didn't trust you the first time, but I do now."
He and I know the right decision. We know the solution to the problem and it's the best way I can help Marlene. I wouldn't wish what happened to me even on my worst enemy. Which at the time, was Marlene. So, I'm going to make the right and unselfish decision.
I take a hard look at Four.
"Do it." I say.
He nods at me, stepping closer and embracing me. He then pulls away and then the group begins planning on how to find out who Anon is and to end this once and for all. I could barely pay attention because I noticed how Four's mood has just suddenly lifted. Right after I told him he could lead Alex on.
-----
Four's POV.
It's currently 3:45 PM and I have to go back to the hospital to see Alex. I wear a tight red T-shirt, some navy blue jeans, and black shoes. I spray some cologne on and I'm reading to leave the room. Then, I remember Tris. She's currently in the room, reading something.
I walk over to the room and sit beside her.
"You smell nice." She says, still looking down at her book."
"Thank you. You look beautiful." I say.
And I'm serious. The way her messy hair rested effortlessly on her shoulders and back. Her green fitting tank top complimented her green camouflage shorts. The fact that her hot pink mixed matched socks did not match her outfit at all, made me fall in love with her all over again.
She looks up at me, grins, and then looks back at her book.
"Watcha reading?" I ask.
"The Fault in Our Stars."
"Well, I have to go now." I say.
"Okay."
"Okay."
