"I don't want to talk to you," I said harshly, "Get out of my house."
My mother stared at me with wide eyes, "Cyle!" she scolded me, "Do you have a reason to treat this young man with such disrespect?"
"Mom, he attacked a girl at school. He was the one I punched.." I glared at him.
"O-oh.." her voice trailed off, "I am so sorry, Cyle. I didn't know."
My mother turned to Stone, "Would you please leave? If my son doesn't feel comfortable with you being here then I certainly don't."
Stone looked at her with sad, puppy eyes, "Please," he begged, "I just want to talk to Cyle."
She glanced up at me and I nodded. She sighed and left the room.
Stone slowly stood up and came towards me. "Cyle.." he said gently.
I backed away from him, "Stay away from me, you jerk," I hissed.
His expression softened, "Cyle, I only did it because.. You've been spending a lot of time with Rebecca lately and I-I really like her.."
I cocked my head to the side, "You like Rebecca? S-so why would you attack Kacie?"
"I-I just wanted to.. I thought, I thought that you liked Rebecca.." Stone sat back down and rubbed his eyes.
"I don't like Rebecca like that," I reassured him, "She is all yours. If anything, I think she's into you. But, I'm not sure after you pulled something like that."
He sighed, "I messed up. I'm really sorry, do you think Kacie can ever forgive me?"
I shrugged, "I don't know. I'm not Kacie, I can't tell you. I don't think she's too happy with you at the moment."
"Can I see your phone?" Stone suddenly asked, looking up at me.
"Sure," I said, handing it to him. He punched in some numbers and the phone started to buzz.
'I'm calling Rebecca' he mouthed to me, and I nodded with a smile.
"Rebecca? Hey! I-I wanted to ask you something. Okay, well, I really like you... You like me too? Are you serious?" he had the phone pressed to his ear and a big grin on his face. "So.. d-do you want to go to the dance with me..?" His face lit up, "Really? Okay! Yeah, I'll pick you up.. Bye!"
I smiled at him and he handed the phone back over to me.
"Well, I guess we both have dates to the dance. You are going with Kacie, aren't you?" he asked, fiddling with his thumbs.
"I'm going to ask her.. But - I think she's going to say yes."
More interesting things will happen soon.
And the Rebecca and Stone part is so cute, awe, I love it.
