It was Monday, and it was my first day back after the suspension. I was planning on asking Kacie to the dance on Friday, the day right before the dance. I had a good feeling about it, I was sure she would say yes.
I was in study hall, in the library. Now, I didn't really mind Stone sitting by me.
"Cyle?" Stone asked as I was doing my homework at the table. My other friends looked up, with an amused look on their faces.
"Yeah?"
His face turned red as he spoke. "I.. I like Kacie."
My eyes widened, "What? But.. I thought you liked Rebecca?" Stone slowly shook his head, "I, I don't know. It's just.. Kacie. She's really pretty and I like her, a lot."
I looked down, "You don't mind me taking her to the dance, do you?"
He shook his head, "Not at all. I won't get in the way of you two. I think you guys are cute together, I just thought you should know that, that's all." I smiled at him and thanked him.
I decided on Tuesday that I didn't want to wait any longer. I was going to ask Kacie to the dance, I really wanted to know what she thinks of me and if she wants to go.
So, as I was walking to ninth period, I saw Kacie and walked up to her.
She was by her locker, talking to a really short girl with blonde hair (haha). The girl saw me walk by and smiled. She grabbed a binder and said to Kacie, "I gotta go, and I think someone wants to talk to you.." and then she walked away.
Kacie turned to me and blushed faintly, "Oh, hi, Cyle," she said quietly.
I grinned, "Kacie, may I ask you something?" Somehow, she blushed even deeper and nodded.
I slowly pulled out the two, crumpled dance tickets out of my pocket. "Will you go to the Valentines Dance with me?"
Her eyes widened and she looked really sad for a moment.
"Oh my God, Cyle, I am so sorry. Someone already asked me.. and I said yes."
HAHAHAH KACIE YOU AREN'T GOING TO BE HAPPY WITH ME.
Love you, wife.
