Celeste POV

The schools bell rang for lunch and I walked the short walk to the cafeteria. Random people shoved by me but I didn't care enough to say anything. I got my lunch then sat down with my friend Allee, a mixed lesbian with sort black hair, she was sorta stalky, I'm glad she's here. She began to ramble on about the test we have in science class. I'm okay at science so i think I'll do well. She continued to ramble on but I was distracted by the world's cutest. I watched Taylor walk over to his friends. He was tallish, well taller then me, he was wearing his wrestling sweatshirt and blue jeans with running shoes. As he approached his friends, he took off his hat revealing his ginger hair and damn them freckles.

"Celeste!" Allee called to me, while nudging me back into reality. "You were staring weren't you?"

"Uh.." My face burned hot, dammit.

"You were!" She yelped. I hit her in the arm and we stood to throw away our trays then walk outside. When we got outside we slipped on our usual hats, me a 5-panel and Allee her beanie. When we entered the courtyard I spotted Taylor with his friends and next to him was a girl.

Of course it was Lauryn. She's been stalking Taylor since I got here like 5 years ago, so about 7th grade. It's actually quite pathetic. Taylor and I exchanged glances, I think I saw him smile a little bit. My heart skipped a beat. Oh my. I looked at my feet before tripping over a small bolder, saving my self an embarrassing moment.

The bell for last class rung, the worst class of all. Not because I hate the class, I love my history class. It's just, Taylor is in there but the catch is his friends are also in here too so I could never talk to him without messing up. I normally sit in the back and Taylor and friends sit by the window but I needed service as I was trying to win something off of Ebay so a window seat it is.

When Taylor's friends entered they looked at me like I was lost.

"Um. That's not your seat?" Kale looked to me, dumbfounded.

"Your point?" I asked with my sassiest voice.

"Move." Just then Taylor came in and looked to me, gave a small smirk and said I can sit there. Then took a seat in front of me. I rolled my eyes at Kale while he scoffed at me and Taylor. Kale fell into his seat and the teacher began his lesson.

As we were taking notes, I sat forward because I couldn't see and accidentally caught a sniff or two of Taylor and mother fucker he smelled amazing. I took another deep breath, attempting to get high off the fumes. Blah blah blah noted about the civil war. Then the teacher called out the worst words in classroom history, "partner projects." An uproar of groans arose from the class, this was followed by more evil words "I'll be picking your partners" and by that he means, he puts the class into a partner generator thing and the computer picked our partner.

When Mr. Hatcher turned on the smart board Joseph and Kale yelled as they were together and I couldn't find my name fast enough before Taylor turned around with a "Hi partner." I have never lost air so quickly in my life. Alas, he was indeed my partner. i looked right into his blue eyes with the yellow around the pupils and nearly screamed. I didn't know what to say. We just stared at each other.

"Here's the deal," I began but was cut off by Taylor handing me an index card.

"What's your number?" He asked. "If we're going to do this, I need you number and any social media you have, just in case phone isn't working or i need to send you something really important." He demanded.

I didn't say anything but i scribbled down everything before the bell rang and nearly ran out of the classroom while turning on my music.

While walking down the street, my music wasn't super loud but I did hear a horn so I turned to see if I was about to be the firsthand witness to an accident. Instead I was greeted with a big black truck and Taylor motioning me to come to him. Of course his friends were in the truck but Kale moved to the back and I sat up front with Taylor.
