Chapter 27: Ekim
I close my eyes and bite my lip out of frustration, I don't even have to turn around to know who that is. Although I feel anything but calm, my voice comes out flat and even when I say, "You followed me." He chuckles. "Of course I did." I shake my head and slowly open my eyes. Aram looks angry and Mara looks confused. I open my mouth to speak, but Aram's eyes go wide, and her whole body tenses. I feel like I'm watching in slow motion as her body crashes to the floor. I stand, unable to do anything and watch Mara rush to her side. "She's unconscious!" I know that, just like I somehow know that if we don't get her to a hospital, Aram and my child could be in very real, very imminent danger.
