Hey guys. First of all I would just like to say thanks to everyone for reading! I can't believe how many posts and comments I've gotten, it means so much to me!!! Another special thanks to Crazzypurplegirl who has been so helpful and supportive through the process so far. Thanks bud!!!!! Anyways, sorry it took me so long to upload, I was really busy and had some writers block, but I'm all better now! The last chapter and this one might be kind of dull but I promise things will pick up in the next chapter or two! Enough of my blabbering, lets get on with the story.

Chapter 2

The school day consisted of wandering down a hall, getting shoved into a stuffy classroom, listening to another boring lecture, and then thrown back into the crowded hall again. At an Edmonton public high school, they don't care if you're rich, they don't care if you're pretty, the teachers just want to see you graduate in three years so they don't have to teach you for a fourth. That's what I think at least, there are always those few teachers that are so interesting and funny, it kind of makes ask yourself; where the hell did they come from? Mars?

By the end of the day I am so tired that I just want to go home, put my feet up and watch three hours of So You Think You Can Dance reruns, but I can't. I have to get to dance class. Ballet starts in half an hour and I still have to go home and change and then get to the dance studio. About half way to my house I turned down the alley behind a set of beige apartment complexes.

Looking around I could see piles of garbage bags, some smashed open and spewing their contents across the rocky, unpaved street. At the far end of the long alley there were three people, two guys and a girl. They looked as if they were deep in discussion, but every once in a while they would look up at me, as though to make sure I wasn't listening in. Not thinking much of it, I continued up the alley, hopping over puddles and garbage along the way.

As I passed I got a better look at the three of them. They all had darker skin (I'm not being racist, I'm all for ethnic equality), dark brown hair and baggy black or blue clothes. I got this strange feeling as I turned around the corner to leave the cracked alley, and as I turned around I saw that the three of them were following me, not right behind me but at a distance of twenty, maybe thirty feet. I didn't really want to worry so I just sped up my pace and kept going, I was only a block from my house after all. I looked up the street , about ten houses short of my home, and out of the alley just ahead of me came two more men. They looked very similar to the others, who were still behind me, but these two were far more muscular.

I took a deep breath and tried to walk around them, but the taller of the two blocked my path.

"Where do you think you're going?" He said in a deep, husky voice.

"Home." My heart was pounding now. I didn't even know these guys, what did they want with some 15 year old, no name dancer?

"Not now you aren't." The thug launched himself forward just as I shot backwards, turning and bolting away. I smashed the girl in the shoulder but just kept running. I felt the last guy reach out and grab hold of my ankle. I came smashing to the ground, my right wrist cracking as it hit the hard pavement. I scrambled back to my feet only to find myself surrounded by these, these, these, gang members? Well, whoever they were they didn't look happy.

"I turned on the spot looking for any possible escape route, but could see nothing.

"Don't think you're getting away this time, Clare."
