Hey guys. Just so you know, part of this chapter is in Austin’s point of view. He’s the youngest of Flick and Sarah’s captors and I thought it was time to get in his head so bare with me I’m not used to writing from a guys point of view!! Other than that, not much to say, getting lots done so let’s get to it!!!!

“Sarah, what are you doing, you don’t- you can’t. You’re lying right? Don’t do this to protect me Sarah; you have no idea what they’ll do to you in there.” I said, tears pouring from my eyes.

“I’m not trying to protect you, Flick.” Her eyes lost all sense of that sweet, harmless girl and turned hard and emotionless as she turned to Ursula and Ree. “I know who she is and I know where she is.”

Ursula and Ree looked at each other, rather confused and frustrated. Finally they dropped my arms and legs and walked out of the room, slamming and locking it roughly.

“Probably going to consult Matt,” she said, turning to face the window, totally avoiding eye contact.

“Who’s Matt?”

“They’re leader, he’s the oldest, meanest looking one.”

I thought of the room they’d taken me to. He was the one who had been in there waiting for me. “Wait, how do you know his name?”

“Um I, uh. I heard them talking when you were asleep,” She blurted, still not looking at me.

“You’re lying Sarah,” I said, frustrated that she wouldn’t tell me the truth.

“Look just drop it, okay? You’ll find out soon enough anyways. It doesn’t even matter. I’ll tell them what they want to know and they’ll let you go. End of story.”

“Good, then we can- Wait, what? They can’t just let me go, what about you?” I asked, truly worried.

“I held information from them. Knowing Matt he’ll either keep me here or he’ll,” she stopped, looking extremely nervous as sweat began to drip off her forehead, “he’ll kill me. Either way you get to go home. It’s fine,” Her eyes went hard again and she stared forward.

“No, it’s not fine, I’m not leaving here without you. Partly because I can’t walk but mostly because I can’t just leave you here to die. That would be totally wrong. I won’t let you sacrifice yourself for me.” Okay, I know how cheesy that sounded but it was true, I couldn’t let her do that.

“This is all my fault. I let him do this to you. It’s my fault you’re here and it’s my fault you’re hurt. I can’t let it be my fault you die too.” She looked hurt, like I wasn’t letting her give me a chocolate bar or something.

“Sarah, none of this is your fault. I’m here because of Clare, not you so stop blaming yourself,” I practically yelled, hoping she’d get the point.

“You still don’t get it. I am Clare.”

There I was, standing with my cousins waiting for my sister and Ree to come back with Felicity. I felt sort of out of place, I was the youngest there at only seventeen, but I felt obligated to be a part of it because of what Clare did to Eddie. The room we were in was dark. It had navy blue walls and a single long, rectangular table in the middle surrounded by black leather rolling chairs. It was the meeting room of Matt’s old warehouse. He owned a brick company that went out of business so he decided it would be the perfect place to keep the girls.
