I wake up to my alarm going off. Like every morning at 7:00am to get ready for school. Sometimes I sleep through the alarm. And I awake to my mom screaming in my ear.

"Remi!" Get up your late!

Okay!!

Sometimes I wish my dad had a stay home job and my mom had an on road one. But I can't change that. I love my mom don't get me wrong, she just annoys me. But who's parents don't get on their nerves. As I'm getting out of my refreshing shower, I head to my closet to pick a outfit out. I head downstairs afterward's and my plate is on the table waiting for me to devour it.

Sweetie, your dad says he will be home after school, okay.

Rly, okay! I jumped up and down two times then sat down to eat.

This made me super happy. Because me and my mom are totally different people. Me and my dad on the other hand are like identical twins in personalities. And me and my mom tend to do nothing most of the time. But it's especially boring for me since I'm the only child. I have friends though. But it's not the same.
My dad used to be in the navy and army. But he retired. Or at least that's what he told me. I feel like there's more to the story but still.

My bus arrives and I grab my b-pack, kissed my mom bye and told her I love her and headed towards the bus. There's this guy I have to sit next to everyday. To and from school. It was rumored that he liked me, but now I think I'm falling for him. I told my best friend this, but she has a big mouth and can't keep secrets. I low key want her to say something though.

Hey, Rem.

Hey.
Um... you know that boy I have to sit next to on my bus.

Yea, what about him. Oh don't he like you or something?

(I think I began to blush as I looked down) yea I think so.

Okay well what are you trying to say?
Wait! I know, your falling for him, and you just realized today?

Ugh... you know me too well.

Then we giggled about boy stuff the rest of the day. Me and Scarlett have been best friends since like second grade. We are now seniors in high school, we've been through hell and back with each other.

*Ring *Ring *Ring

Finally! School was over and I could talk to Jase on the bus. (the guy who likes me but who I also like, I think) anyways we talked a lot on the bus. Maybe because we are usually the last two people to be dropped off. But on my way off I took a piece of paper and pen and wrote down my number. And a cute little sentence at the bottom. saying:

(32920-783829-838388)
Call me if you want... just text me that it's you first before you call.

He started to smile super hard and then blushed a little I think. His smile is so cute. Then he asked me;

"Okay so if I didn't ask you for your number. What made you do it? And what does this make us?"

Reason to call me now, eh? I said laughing.

Then the bus driver yelled my name and told me she was waiting for 5mins. Which I highly doubt was true. But I probably would never know. So I walked off the bus and waved her goodbye. Thinking of Jases' adorable smile. And then it dawned to me. I'm standing outside my house while my dad is inside waiting to see my hurt, sad, but happy, desperate face.
I took a deep breath before walking inside. Then I heard a loud engine. Actually the loudest engine I've ever heard. I look down both sides of my streets and nothing. But then a tank comes cruising down the street. With military trucks and cars/bikes, and supplies following behind the tank. I was confused. I never saw a tank in real life. The soldiers looked extremely sad when they looked at me. It kind of creeped me out.
Then comes the sound of wind. As I look up, there were about 6-7 military helicopters by the look of them. Then my dad greeted me. We united then he asked me to go inside. We ate dinner. Dad's favorite, lasagne. We didn't talk much. It was so awkward.
My dad's a news freak. He loves the news It's all he watch. I tried to get him to watch the walking dead once with me but he refused to.
