Pretend this is a poem

***

My eyes fluttered open with light blinding me from where I was laying down. Looking down, I noticed I was sprawled across car seats as if I had passed out.

Fuck...

Not only had I passed out in a car but I had passed out in Eli's Ferrari. And I was in the middle of nowhere, lost.

Just fucking wonderful.

I sat up, looking around my surroundings, noticing I was parked on a deserted dirt road, surrounded by tall trees. If it wasn't for my feeling of not knowing where I was, the view personally would of been beautiful. Reminding me of the woods Twilight would of took place, only without the sparkling vampires and giant dogs.

Looking down at my bare legs, I cursed myself for not having the brains of grabbing more clothes when I ran..

I ran..

Why did I run?

And even so, from what?

Memories of haunting green eyes blinded my mind in an instant. And at that moment realization hit me.

Asher.

Anger started flowing through me at knowing what he had almost did.

He almost marked me. Without my consent.

He had also broken the first promise he had sworn to me. He wasn't just Asher.

He was also the monster he had said he would never be.

A monster I thought could be tame, but apparently I was no Belle to his beast. I was just a girl who was trapped with some unknown power that could get me killed at any second or even worse...get kidnapped and forced to be used because of what I was.

After the encounter with those men yesterday and the up close experience with Asher, I realized just how weak I was. How pathetic I truly was.

I was absent minded on how truly jacked up this world really was. If it wasn't for Eli to save poor helpless me, I would be truly Asher's, without the slightest mercy.

I cringed at the thought of belonging to Asher.

My eyes landed on the dashboard at the yellow numbers.

Quickly shutting my eyes and reopening, hoping what I just read was incorrect. Ohh it was.

10:46

By a minute.

Really my life could not get any worse..but wait.

A sudden howl from the woods made me freeze in my seat..waiting with anticipation. My eyes scanned the dim morning lit trees from where I was sitting, hoping whatever that howl belonged to, was far away.

Quickly, my hand flew to the ignition trying to start the stupid car, that at the moment would not start.

"Really?" I shouted in frustration, sending a punch towards the steering wheel, as a loud horn from Eli's car echoed throughout the woods.

"Shït..ouch!" my hand went flying back towards my other hand, examing my fresh bruise that was slowly turning purple. I honestly never had this much luck in one day.

Another howl could be heard, only this time it happened to sound closer. I closed my eyes, praying that it was just a normal wolf. Maybe it would just leave if it had any common sense, I mean I was practically in a locked car. I was safe...right?
