I know it's a bit early for me to be updating a new chapter, but who is complaining?

Huh? (;

Silence surrounded the grey office. A question that had started from the first step I had walked into this building. Each step adding more and more to the list.

But one had me wanting.

I looked up into Asher's eyes after I had asked the burning question that had slipped out of my mouth. I felt his arms tighten around me as he gave a swallow and a heavy sigh.

"Princess, I wanted to tell you some other time...when you were ready." he spoke looking down at me. I moved my eyes away from him angrily, "you have no right to tell me when I am ready to hear the truth. For Gods sake, you did not have a problem breaking into my dreams or making me show up and meet your pack. " I took a deep breath before continuing as he listened calmly.

"How dare you think I am not ready when you just threw everything that I used to read in fairytales at me. I may just be highly confused and I might just be having another fucking dream but to hide something about me, and to tell me I am not ready? That is low." I sputtered making myself sound strong before I could let tears show.

Asher held me close as I tried to push him away not wanting to be close to him. I felt his arms let loose as I took a step back away from him. "Spring.. I am sorry." he trailed. "I just did not think you were ready..but if you really want to know, I need you to sit down." I stood in place not sure of what he meant before looking up to meet his eyes.

He nodded his head before I sat down in the seat I had once sat in, "I'm ready." I gulped down waiting for the truth. I watched as Asher leaned against the wall while crossing his arms before speaking.

"Your eyes are of a protector, but your kind is of human race." he watched my unfazed eyes as my mind wondered what he meant. He continued, "I have never met one like your kind in person, only of what I have heard from my grandmother's stories. She knew of only one existing."

My eyes stayed on his as he studied my face before I asked, "what do you mean?" (I'm not a JB fan but I started singing as I wrote that, for your information. I'm dying right now.) He slowly walked over to me leaning on each arm over me, "it means you are my check to my mate." his mouth was close to my face as my eyes did not once loose his.

"Basically you are a protector only for your mate, and that mate happens to be me. When I heard of my grandmother's stories, she explained that a protector could only protect who they were mated with and was defenseless if not mated. But of the one who she only knew of was also a wolf and not human. You are a new kind that no one has ever heard of before." he got back up as I started to understand.

I stayed put breathing in at the intake, "so I have some kind of a superpower?" I watched a corner of his mouth twitch up, "Spring, I am starting to rethink about telling you all this. But I would like to say it is more like a special talent."
