Becoming The Baby Cullen

1st Day for Jake, Seth, and Leah

"Time to wake up! You better be downstairs and in the kitchen in 20 minutes." Dad calls, walking up the hall and knocking on all of the doors. I groan and get up and get dressed. I make it downstairs just in time. Everyone else is already at the kitchen table.

"Took long enough." Katie says jokingly. We all chuckle. Dad brings in pancakes and sausage, and we dig in. When we finish Dad tells us to get in his car because he is driving us.

"But Dad! I want to ride with Emmett!" I whine.

"Me too!" Katie says with slightly less whine.

"Well, they are gone. They left a few minutes ago." Dad informs me.

"Fine." I grumble. We all get into his car and ride to school. He lets Katie sit in the front seat, and leaves me in the back. We soon get to school. Before Dad lets us out, he warns us to behave.

"Yes sir." we all say. He nods and we all get out and head into the school. Me and Katie try to leave so we aren't seen with Dad, but it doesn't work.

"Jake, Seth, and Leah have the same classes you do. They will stay with you and you will show them around." Dad says. We nod, not bothered at all.

"Good. Now behave. Please." Dad says we nod again.

"Goodbye." He says. We wave and walk to our first block where we have assigned seats. Our teacher puts Jake, Seth, and Leah beside me and Katie.

"Welcome back, Allison and Katie, and welcome to our school, Jacob, Seth and Leah." she says.

"Will you call me Jake?" Jake asks nervously.

"Of course! Let me write that down." she says.

"Thank you." Jake says as we turn and walk to our seats. We learn about matter. The class goes by quickly, and we walk to our next class. We don't have assigned seats in there, so we simply walk to a group of 5 seats and sit down. In this class, we learn about the history of America. I lay my head down and notice Jake has done the same. I fall asleep soon. The teacher wakes us up and gives us both detentions. We both visibly pale. and take the slips in our shaky hands. The bell rings not long after.

"Dad is going to kill you both! Especially you, Allison!" Katie says. I put my head down and groan.

"At lease I'm not suspended again. Maybe we will just get grounded." I say.

"Hopefully that's all." Jake says. It's lunch time now, so we go to the cafeteria and get lunch and eat while talking about our science and social studies homework. Katie, Seth, and Leah agree to help us because we were asleep through social studies. The bell rings and we head to Math. We learn about equations. We work until the bell rings and then go to our last class, which is English. We work on poems we've been writing. I have almost forgotten about our detention when the bell rings.

"Ready for detention?' Jake says, reminding me. I groan and nod. We walk to the office where detention is held. We have a seat and wait for a teacher. When she comes in, she calls out the names and gives out the work that was left for some of us. Me and Jake got a packet from the social studies teacher. We get to work and I am almost done when we are released. We slowly walk out to see Dad standing, leaning again his car with his arms crossed. He opens the door and lets us in. He then walks to his side of the car and drives home without saying a word.

"You are grounded for the rest of the day. I will call you down for dinner and then you will go straight up to your rooms. You can have 45 minutes right now to get help on the class you slept in from the others. After that, go to your rooms." he says and he goes upstairs. We go to the living room where the others are and work. We finish the social studies work and go to our rooms after the allowed 45 minutes. I finish my other work and then read my book, To Kill A Mockingbird.

"Dinner is ready." Katie says, poking her head in my door. I nod and go downstairs. Jake follows me and we sit and eat then go back to our rooms without any argument. I eventually fall asleep while reading.
