Asami and I stepped through the portal. We both definitely needed a vacation. Asami looked tired and stressed out. I'm sure I looked the same way. Asami looked around and said

"It's beautiful. Thank you for bringing me here."

"No problem." I replied. "We both needed a vacation after Kuvira." Asami looked around again.

"What's that over there?" she asked, pointing to the Tree of Time.

"That was Vaatu's prison." I said, shuddering at the mention of one of my old enemies.

"Are you okay?" asked Asami, noticing my discomfort

"Yeah, fine." I said. Wow, she was really beautiful in this light. But I wasn't completely sure she felt the same way about me. Not the beautiful part, but you know, liking me.

Asami
Korra looked really nervous. I knew it couldn't just be from Kuvira and the Tree of Time. I hope she knew I liked her. I mean, I know that seems weird to say, but I've liked her for a while now, and I just don't know what to say. Ah well, nothing to do but say it, I guess.

"Hey, um Korra?" I said.

"Yes, Asami?" Korra replied.

"Um, I don't really know how to say this, but..."

"...I love you." Asami said, blushing furiously  and looking down at the ground.

"Wow." I thought. "She's really brave to just say it."

"Uh, well..." I don't really know what to say, so I kind of just stand there. Then I did something unexpected. I move closer and kiss her. Not a long one, but just a brief one. "I love you too, Asami." I said.
