Date Night

It had been a few months since Asami and I returned from the Spirit World. I was getting ready to go on a date with Asami. I don't know what she had planned, but I was sure it was gonna be great. As I was finishing up, a knock came on my apartment door. I opened it and saw Asami there. She looked really beautiful tonight.

"Hey." she said. "You ready to go?"

Yeah! Definitely!" I replied. "What do you have planned?"

"Well, um, first I was thinking we would go out to dinner at this noodle place by the pro-bending arena, and then I have a surprise." Asami said.

"Sounds good to me!" I said, and we walked down to Asami's Satomobile.

Asami
Korra and I walked down to my Satomobile, and we drove off. I was really excited for tonight. A little bit later, we arrived at the noodle place.

"You know, I came here on a date with-" Korra says, but than snaps her mouth shut. I guess she didn't want to talk about it, or mention it at our date.

"Well, let's go in. I got us a reservation." I said, kind of confused. We walked in, and I gave the hostess my name.

"Oh hello Ms. Sato and... Avatar Korra?!" the hostess said, with confusion evident in her voice.

"May we just be seated?" Korra asked, with impatience and lightly controlled anger in her voice.

"Of..of course, Avatar." the hostess said, looking flustered. "Right this way." The hostess led us to a table in a cozy corner.

"Why are people so prejudiced?" Korra wondered aloud as we sat down.

"I don't know. But don't let it bother you. We're here together, and that's what matters right now." I replied. We finished up our meal, just making small talk and flirting. We paid and left. As we were leaving, I noticed some people giving us disgusted stares. I knew Korra noticed but pretended not to. Now it was time for my surprise.

Asami and I got into her Satomobile, and drove away from the restaurant. Those people were jerks. But Asami had promised a surprise, so I was looking forward to that. Asami blindfolded me before we got where we were going.

"Asami, where are we going?" I asked.

"You'll see when we get there." she replied. She led me out of the car and onto something wooden. I could hear the lapping of waves, so we must be near water, maybe even on the docks. She led me onto something else. Probably a boat. She took the blindfold off, and I saw what we were in. It was a turtle-duck boat.

"Wow." I said. "It's beautiful."

"Yeah." Asami replied. "And we've got it all to ourselves." We just floated around in the bay for a little, with Asami just resting next to me. All of a sudden, she leaned in against me, and I held her.

"This is nice. Just me and Asami." I thought.

Asami
We sat there for awhile, with Korra just holding me. Then, suddenly, she kissed me. A long, passionate kiss. We broke apart after a few seconds.

"I love you." I said to Korra.

"I love you too, Asami." she replied, leaning in to kiss me again.
