Letting Everyone Know

A/N: This story comes immediately after the last one, as in the next day.

Korra
I woke up the next morning on the floor. Asami was lying on the couch, snoring, with one arm touching the floor. I must have fallen off while I was sleeping. I sat up. And then I remembered.

"Oh fudge." I thought. "We said we'd meet Mako and Bolin. That might be a bit awkward." We both knew Mako still had feelings for both of us. And being a former detective, and Prince Wu's bodyguard, he would almost definitely notice Asami's necklace. But he might not notice my ring. Oh well. I stumbled into the kitchen and pulled out a box of pancake mix. "How hard can it be?" I thought as I started to follow the instructions.

Asami
I woke up on the couch to the smell of slightly charred pancakes. I walked into the kitchen, rubbing my eyes, and saw Korra at the table, looking sheepishly at the pancakes. I hugged her from behind.

"Good morning, sweetie." I said. She turned around in her seat and gave me a quick kiss.

"Good morning! I made breakfast." Korra said, gesturing at the pancakes.

"Thanks, Korra." I replied, opening the cupboard and pulled out a bottle of maple syrup. I walked back over to the table and nearly drowned my pancakes in syrup. After we finished eating, I glanced up at the clock.

"Oh my gosh!" I exclaimed. "I have to get to work!" As I was walking out the door, I heard Korra call

"Don't forget, we said we'd meet Mako and Bolin for lunch later."

"Don't worry, I won't." I said as I slipped out the door.

Korra
I pulled a large water ball from the river and froze the last gang member to the wall.

"Okay chief, I got the last one!" I call over.

"Thanks, Korra. You can go now." Chief Beifong says. I glance at my watch. It's almost time for us to meet Mako and Bolin. I guess I better get Asami. When I get to the rebuilt Future Industries Tower, I go up to Asami's office. I peek in. Asami is working hard on her next invention, but she keeps balling up the paper and throwing it into the trash can. She doesn't even notice when I walk in.

"Hi, Asami." I say.

"Oh! Korra! I didn't hear you walk in!" she said, spinning around in her chair.

"Well, save the genius inventions for tomorrow. We're late to meet up with Mako and Bolin." I reply.

"Alright." she sighs. "Just let me grab my coat."

A couple minutes later, we're on our way to the restaurant.

"So, do you think they'll notice anything?" Asami asks.

"With those two, you never know." I reply. "Let's just see what happens." We walk into the restaurant, and Bolin is waving at us.

"Hi!" he calls. We walk over.

Asami
"Hi Mako. Hi Bolin!" I say.

"Hi guys!" Mako says. "How's it going?"

"Good." Korra replies as we sit down. "How have you been?"

"I'm doing well." Mako says. "Prince Wu's been a bit annoying lately, but other than that, things have been pretty normal."

"That's great!" I reply. "How are you doing, Bolin?"

"Really good!" he replied. "I got a job as Varrick's assistant!"
