"And it's a human need to be told stories. The more we're governed by idiots and have no control over our destinies, the more we need to tell stories to each other about who we are, why we are, where we come from and what might be possible." ~Alan Rickman

A few days passed by, and soon Taehyung found himself sitting in his room on a lazy off day, listening to music with his boyfriend. The couple were laying on their backs, sharing a pair of earbuds, listening to American pop songs. Taehyung's eyebrows were furrowed in deep thought as his grip on Hoseok's hand tightened. The older cast him a curious glance "what's on your mind Taehyungie~?" Taehyung sighed softly, rolling onto his side to face Hoseok "hyung, will you tell me a story?" Hoseok grinned, rolling onto his side as well "I'll try. What kind of story?" Taehyung cutely poked his bottom lip out in thought "hm. About all of us." Hoseok looked around the room, trying to think of a story "okay here we go. Ready?" The younger nodded excitedly, eyes glued to the dancer as Hoseok began talking "what do you think our lives would be like right now if none of us ever auditioned for Big Hit?" Taehyung's eyes widened slightly, shock written across his features "I-I don't know... I've never thought about it.." Hoseok grinned widely, continuing "well I think we still would've been friends. Despite the odds." Hoseok rolled onto his back to gaze at the ceiling once again "we would've ended up going to the same school, probably bonded through our loves of music and dance.. Gone to crazy senior parties together. Shared heartbreaks with each other. We would go to the same college, waiting around until you and Kookie were old enough to go at the same time." Hoseok sighed softly, glancing at the younger to realize how carefully Taehyung was watching him "and eventually, after graduating and moving out on my own, I would realize I'd fallen for my best friend.."

Taehyung sniffled, rolling onto his stomach to nuzzle into the pillows, hiding his teary eyes. Hoseok was about to ask if the younger was ok, when he heard a soft voice plead "tell me how it ends" the dancer sighed softly, reluctantly continuing "sure we'd have our fair share of struggles, but we'd all keep in touch and hang out on the weekends together. You'd move in with me," both chuckled "and one day we'd get married. But let's face it Namjoon and Jin would beat us to that" they both chuckled again, although Taehyung's were beginning to sound like sobs. Still Hoseok continued "we'd grow old together, maybe adopt a kid. Or two, or three. Whatever you want because any numbers fine with me" Hoseok chuckled, alone this time "we'd watch all of our friends grow old with us, kids of their own, watch them grow up like we did. And then one day we'd both leave this world to what ever afterlife awaits." Hoseok shrugged, rolling on his side to watch the younger. His eyes widened when he realized the younger was crying, and he instantly pulled him to his chest "I'm sorry, that story was pretty disappointing...." Taehyung shook his head violently, sobbing quietly and avoiding the older's gaze "no it's not that.... It was beautiful. I just wish it could have all happened..." Hoseok ran his fingers through the younger's hair, and rubbed his back to calm him "the marriage and kids can still happen after we retire Tae... If you want it to." Taehyung nodded, sniffling, and forcing a smile to ease the others worries. But Taehyung knew that Hoseok's words were no more than a fairy tale for him that would never come true.

Later that evening, most of the members had headed out to shop except for Taehyung, Hoseok, or so they thought. The couple had decided to watch a movie called Bridge To Teribithia, and Hoseok walked to the kitchen to make some popcorn. He was surprised to see Yoongi standing in the kitchen making himself microwave ramen noodles "hyung you didn't go with the others?" Yoongi shook his head, and the younger noticed the dark circles under his eyes "hyung are you ok..? You look tired..." Yoongi nodded, meeting the others gaze for a moment "enjoy the time you have with him." Then heading back to his room with noodles in hand.

Hoseok stared at the vacant counter in thought, biting his lip. His mind raced over previous things, sudden dance lessons, Taehyung's odd reaction about his story, and he suddenly began to worry that the younger wasn't happy dating him. Hoseok sighed, rubbing the back of his neck but decided not to push the younger, thinking it was just his paranoia. Suddenly his lover's voice snapped him out of his thoughts "hyung! The best part's coming soon!! Hurry up!" Taehyung yelled happily. Hoseok chuckled, and quickly made their popcorn to resume the movie.
