This'll be kind of boring >.< sorry

No POV

"You need a bath if you want to stay here." Ariana stated.

Luke's stomach rumbled, and he knew bathing had to wait. Luke hasn't eaten in 2 days, all he ate was a bag of potato chips anyways.

"Do you have food? Please?" Luke pleaded.

Ariana thought for a moment. She regretted letting the boy in because Luke would just use her supplies.  Ariana shook the thought, she wanted to trust Luke.

"If you shower I'll give you some food. But use little water."

"Where do you even get water?" Water was scarce.

"My gate has a small lake or pond in the back. I get large buckets of water to fill my make shift shower every week.

"You're lucky."

"I guess. I'll get you some clothes while you shower. Remember to shower quick because water is minimal." Ariana opened a cupboard, pulling out a towel and plopping it into his arms.

Ariana hated how simple and choppy her talking sounded. But, this was the best she could communicate after 2 years and only talking to herself.

Luke POV

Ariana lit another lantern in the bathroom then shoved me in it. I clutched the fluffy towel and analyzed Ariana's elaborate little shower. I can already tell she's intelligent, especially since she survived this long. There were barley any living people on this planet, or at least America.

After stripping myself, I stepped into the shower and unplugged the water sprayer. Water let loose and I grabbed Ariana's soap, showered then replugged the sprayer.

"Ariana! I'm ready."

I wrapped the white towel around me.  Ariana walked in the second I called her name.

"Put this on." Ariana instructed, chucking some sweatpants and a tanktop at me then exiting.

I shrugged, dropping my towel. I slipped on the sweats and they felt so comfortable. That's a word I hardly get too use.

I walked out of the bathroom, holding the lantern and awkwardly standing in front of Ariana.

"Uh, hi?" I squeaked out.

"Luke, let's get to know each other!"

Ariana rubbed her hands together, then dragged me into her living room.

"Time to play 20 questions!"

Great, the first human I meet in a zombie apocalypse and they are a fùckgirl. But, a human nonetheless.

"What's the first question, 'Luke what are u werin lolz'?" I mocked.

"You're standing right in front of me? Anyways... First question, what's your age? I'm 22."

"I'm 18. What's your heritage? I'm Australian."

"I like your accent. I'm Sicilian and my grandparents were from Greek and North Africa.
Where were you when the breakout started? And who was the first person you knew that got turned?"

"I was in the middle of class. and the first person I knew that turned was my older brother, Jack. He was the only one living with me, and I had to kill him. Again." I chuckled awkwardly, trying to dial down the awkwardness. I really didn't know how to talk to Ariana.
