Sadly, I didn't win. But hey, fifth place out of 57 kids is an achievement for me. Plus, the first place winner was an eighth grader (and he was Indian, he spelled shit without any hesitation).
The word I missed was L'eau or eau (water), the coordinator pronounced it wrong, so I thought he said something else. And by the time he realized his mistake and he corrected himself, I had already started spelling that fucking word and once you start spelling, there is no going back.
I honestly don't care... I meant for this to be a learning experience, and I learned a lot of words that I didn't know.
