What's Next?

"so like.. What do we do now? Any bright ideas? " Becca groaned, as i paced around the female toilet, deciding my next move. Like i said, i thought this had to be bigger than cancer. That got me thinking. What if i inherited a new-found deadly disease, that makes you have nightmares? And what if i was the first victim? Another thing that got me thinking. HOW LONG DID I HAVE TO LIVE?

" I think our best shot is to check in to the hospital..." wait. What if it was CONTAGIOUS. What if i spread the disease to my BEST FRIEND?! WHAT IF SHES THE NEXT VICTIM AND ITS MY FAULT? "... And uhh Becca? You might want to stay away from me..."

"Oh yea oh course cuz you totally have Cancer. I'm serious you don't look like you have the symptoms. I like biology i would know this stuff."

Oh did i forget to mention that Becca isn't stupid? That's right. Sure on a daily basis she could be oblivious to the things around her, but she's doing quite well in school.

And i might be the reason she gets kicked out and loses the golden opportunity she might have had in that school.

" i don't know what I'm dealing with yet. It could be contagious for all that i know. "

Becca sighed and huffed out " fine". After that she kept a distance.

"i think the closest hospital is the Rosewood Lake Medical Hospital... That's like... 362 meters away.. Wanna take a cab?" i shouted, since she wasn't exactly next to me.

"only if you're paying"
"split?"
"nah."
"then you owe me a few packets of Doritos."

She hesitated.

"only if you share"
"fine"
"deal"

I flagged down a cab and as I've heard, it's hard to do so in America. Well thankfully over here, the driver's actually want to make money so..

As soon as we got in, i told the driver the address and we sped off. Cool fact about drivers over here : some are super fast, and the faster it is, the longer we had until the fare jumped.

After we arrived i paid the driver and we got off. I started rushing to the counter to arrange an appointment, only to think that the nurses won't believe me if i said i had cancer. So here it could go two ways: one, we do a little acting and pretend i fainted or something, Becca drags me in and i get transported to the emergency section for immediate checkup. Two, we just arrange a normal checkup, BUT we'd have to wait a lot.

I thought about it for a while. Sure Becca can't act but we can't wait. I don't know how long i still have.

"Becca. We need to do a little.. Roleplay"

" wha- I can't act!!!!!"

"i know. Do it for me. PLEASE??"
I stared at her making her feel uneasy.

"one time.One."

I explained everything to her and it was set. We did exactly as planned, and sure enough i was in the emergency section playing dead. A doctor examined me, and beeped the other doctors. Nearly a second later, dozens of doctors were glancing nervously at the first doctor's clipboard.

Great. Maybe i do have cancer after all.

"Get her to the surgery room!" a doctor shouted.

I've never experienced surgery before, and i know I'm weird but i was kinda excited. There's a first for everything! I was hoping i could see the proceedure, but sadly i was gonna be knocked out before anything can happen.

The next thing i knew i felt a needle plunge into my skin. My heart beat slowed, and everything felt numb. My eye bags suddenly weighed a ton. I drifted off to sleep.

I dreamt being chained to a rock that somewhat resembled a Boulder, at the foot of a volcano. Don't ask me how OR why, but i felt the titanium cuffs and could feel the titanium energy flowing through my veins, then i closed my eyes and willed it to break. I broke free, but the volcano erupted. And you know what? It was a very very short volcano. The lava blasted out of the top, and splatted directly on me. My skin was on fire, being burnt bit by bit, one molecule at a time, i felt my limbs slowly disintegrate to ash.

That's when i bolted up to find alert surgeons and my skin letting out steam.
