Chapter 12

Brandon's POV

    Callie walks in with Jude in tow. I smile at both of them. "How was ice cream?" Callie smiles back. "It was great. Jude beat me in a race to the ocean. I laugh. "Imagine that. I never knew he was such a good runner." "Neither did I, but I learned something new today myself. He ended up nuking some money out of me for candy on the way home." Jude grins while holding up 10 pounds worth of smarties, fun dip, and lollipops. "Make sure you don't get sugar shock Jude." He waves me off and heads upstairs. 

    I grab Callie around the waist. "Sounds you had a great day after all. I'm glad to hear it love." She looks taken back. "Brandon, you've never called me that before, but I have to say that I like it." I smirk. "Good because I'll be calling you that quite often. Anyways, did you talk to Jude about L.A. yet?"  She nods. "He actually knew about it on his own. He overheard us talking about it the other night. He was sad, but very accepting. It'll be an adjustment for him, but he'll get used to it. I'm sure of it. If there's anyone as strong as me if not stronger, it's Jude." I kiss her forehead. "I agree." 

    We head  out to the back porch. I gently sit Callie down on a sofa. "Callie, there's this song that just reminds me of you and I want to sing it to you because it describes how I feel about you so spot on." She smiles and motions for me to go ahead.

  I cup her chin. "What do you think?" She wipes away tears. "That was beautiful. You still got Brandon." I hug her. "Thank you. Now let's get you off to bed. I want my love to get her beauty sleep. Not that she needs it to look beautiful, but to be alert of course." We head to my room hand in hand, everything feeling right in the world.
