I heard Caiden crying hysterically on the monitor like somebody was killing him I quickly rolled over to see what time it is, it's 3:25am. He doesn't cry in the middle of the night anymore, I had to get him out of that stage quick. I got up and rushed to the nursery. I saw Jimmy and mom walking out of their rooms.

"What's wrong with Caiden?" Jimmy groggy voice said.

I shrugged, "I don't know he doesn't cry during the night. He probably had a bad dream or something." I replied. The door was cracked opened I lightly pushed the door opened to see him siting on the left side of the 4 in 1 convertible crib, kicking something away from him. I walked up to the crib to see it's Jimmy's dog, Gary. I picked up Caiden to soothe him by rocking him side to side. Jimmy came up to the crib and picked up Gary from the crib. He placed Gary on the floor and begin to scold him.

"What was he doing in the crib with Caiden?" Mom asked.

"Gary is a girl." Jimmy giggled. "She probably thought he was Frances. Gary would sneak in here and jump in the crib with Franny and sleep with her. I thought it was cute." Jimmy added.

"You named your girl dog a boy name?" Mom chuckled.

"Yup." Jimmy replied popping the 'p.'

"What idiot would name their dog that?"

"This idiot right here." Jimmy laughed and pointed to himself. Mom laughed along and walked over to me and Caiden. She kissed his forehead before leaving the room. Caiden begin to calm down. "Gary must of scared him." I said as I looked down at Gary to see she's trying to jump on me. Caiden begin to cry all over again. Me and Jimmy let out a sigh. "I'll be right back." Jimmy said pulling Gary by her collar. He walked out of the room and closed the door.

"Shhh, Caiden, it's going to be OK. Gary is gone now." I sat down in the rocking chair and rocked him back to sleep. My eyes were getting heavy so I thought I'll just close them for a few seconds until Jimmy comes back in here.

Jimmy

I walked back into the nursery to see Braelyn and Caiden sleeping. I stopped for a second to admire them. I smiled and quietly walked over to them. I carefully picked up Caiden and laid him in the crib. I kissed him on his forehead and told him I loved him. I turned around to Braelyn. How am I going to do this? I thought to myself. I could pick her up, and take her to her room. Or, I could just wake up her. But, I don't want to wake her she looks so peaceful. So, I basically answered my own question. I picked her up and carried her bridal style. She wrapped her arms around my neck, her touch sends chills down my spine. I walked out of the room and down the hall to her room. She's pretty light. I walked into her room and slowly but carefully laid her down on the bed. Before leaving her room, I turned around to look at her one last time. God, she's beautiful.

Braelyn

I woke up to hear a guitar tone I knew all too well and Jimmy singing, I rolled over on my back to see if he somehow snuck in here to wake me up. No, it's just me in here. I suddenly realize his voice is coming from the baby monitor. I rolled back over to the left side of the bed and stared at the baby monitor. Jimmy is singing What A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong. I stared at the monitor for a few seconds just to hear Jimmy singing to Caiden. I felt the tears forming in my eyes. After a few seconds of laying there listening I finally got up to go brush my teeth and wash my face, I walked over to my bag and took out my face towel and toothbrush before walking to the bathroom.

I quickly made myself look presentable, I still got the baby monitor in my hand. Jimmy is now singing Black Bird by The Beatles, I still can't believe how everything went down. I mean, a few days ago, I handed him the envelope with a letter inside telling him that we slept together and he's the father of Caiden. Now here we are, staying at his house for god knows how long. I'm truly happy. I don't know how he's going to react when we have to leave to go back home. I don't want to leave him or NY. Jimmy is singing my favorite line of the song.
