\(*-*)/
Months passed. Tyler slowly grew more and more miserable. He didn't realize losing Moo would be this unbearable. Moo shut him out completely. He still gamed with Evan and the rest of the guys, but as soon as Tyler entered the call, he left without a word. He acted as if Tyler didn't exist. And Tyler knew he deserved it.
"Tyler, what the fuck is going on? He barely show me any attention anymore! It's gotten to the point where I'd rather just go back home!" Kelly snapped at him one night. Tyler had enough. He didn't want Kelly. He wanted Brock.
"Then go home! We're over! And that's the nicest way I could put it." He yelled back. She huffed, turning away and packing her things, leaving a few short hours later. Tyler had realized she wasn't hurt to be leaving him. Brock was. Kelly didn't care for him. Brock did. Kelly didn't love him or Kino. But Brock did. Tyler had given up the best thing for him. Brock was everything Kelly wasn't. Brock loved Kino to pieces, he enjoyed spending the little moments with Tyler, and he loved him through it all. But Tyler was too dumb to notice.
Moo was miserable, but he tried to keep himself up. He knew he could get through it, especially with the help of Luke. After hanging out at a convention, Brock found himself confiding in Cartoonz about everything. Luke listened, he supported, and he cared. And that's what Brock needed. Brock didn't have romantic feelings for Luke. Not at all. But Luke had practically been his life raft through this shit storm, and Luke knew that.
"I don't want to see him." Brock sighed on the phone late one night as he laid in bed.
"I know. But you have to eventually." Luke explained. Brock just hummed and crossed his arms. "I'll stay with you the whole convention, okay? We can even share a hotel room. And if you want, we can get a little revenge?" Luke suggested. Luke had overheard Tyler and Evan in a skype call one night when they forgot Luke hadn't left. Tyler had confessed to Evan that he'd broken up with Kelly and planned on finding a way to get Moo back.
"What do you mean?" Luke had told him what he'd overheard and Brock didn't believe it. "He can't have me back. Not after what he put me through, and the way he used me." Brock said firmly.
"Doesn't mean we can't make him a little jealous, let him see what he's missing." Luke said.
"What are you suggesting?"
"Simple. Whenever Tyler is around, we pretend to be a couple, all over each other and shit. It'll get right under his skin and he'll come crawling back to you. Then you can choose what to do." The idea was highly appealing to Brock. So getting back at him was very tempting.
"I'm in. I'll see you at the convention Luke. And thanks."
Convention time came around a month later. Luke was standing with Evan, Marcel, Mini, and Tyler in the lobby of the hotel, just chatting away. Tyler knew nothing of Brock and Luke's new friendship, or their little plan. As soon as Brock entered the glass doors, and Tyler caught sight of him, Luke set the plan in motion.
"There he is!" He said with fake excitement. "I'll be right back." Luke could feel Tyler eyeing him suspiciously as he jogged over to Brock. "Drop your bag and put your arms around me." Luke whispered with a mischievous grin. Brock did as told, chuckling quietly. Luke cupped his cheeks, making it look like they were kissing before backing away and picking up Brock's bag. Luke turned around and snuck a quick glance at Tyler. He was shocked and infuriated. Luke smirked, taking Brock's hand tightly. Brock faked a smile and stayed close to Luke's side as they walked. "We're gonna chill in our hotel room for the night. We'll catch up with you guys at the convention tomorrow." Luke drug Brock to the elevator. As soon as the doors shut, Brock's smile dropped.
"It hurt seeing him." He mumbled quietly.
"I know, but did you see how jealous he was? You gotta admit that was a little fun." Brock sighed and let out a chuckle.
"Yeah it was kinda great." He admitted. The doors opened and they walked out. In a blur, a fist connected with Luke's jaw, sending him into a wall. "Tyler?! What the hell? Luke! Are you okay?" Brock glared at a huffing Tyler before running to Luke's side and inspecting his jaw. "Whats your problem?!"
"My problem?! I wasn't gonna let some fuckboy bitch take you away from me! Even if he is my friend!" Tyler shouted. Brock grit his teeth.
"We aren't together! We just did that downstairs to get back at you for hurting me. And I'm not yours to claim, Tyler! You made that perfectly clear when you screwed me for two weeks then just threw me away!" Brock snapped, tears rolling down his cheeks. Tyler softened. He didn't like seeing Brock cry. Though he was happy to know Brock hadn't been swept away. He felt bad for punching his friend.
"I'm sorry, okay?! It was a mistake! I've been miserable without you, Brock. Please, just give me another chance to show you the love you showed me. Please?" Tyler begged, now crying. Brock just shook his head, helping Luke up and guiding him past Tyler.
"No. You made your choice seven months ago. Deal with it." He said coldly before entering his hotel room with Luke. Tyler leaned back against the wall, letting the tears flow down his cheeks. There was no getting him back.
"I'm so sorry." Brock repeated over and over to Luke as he held a bag of ice to his cheek. Luke just shook his head."I'm okay. But you aren't. You know more than anything you want to give Tyler that second chance." Luke said matter of factly. Brock sighed.
"I don't want to be led on again." He whispered. Luke scoffed.
"You and I both know Tyler would never hurt anyone of his friends, and he just about ripped me to shreds out there. He loves you. He just realized it later than you." Luke was right. They both knew it. "Find him." Brock got up and ran down to the front desk in the lobby.
"Excuse me. My friend Tyler left his phone in my room, but I don't know his room. Could you tell me so I can return it?" Brock asked, making up a quick lie.
"Of course." The woman smiled, giving him Tyler's room number. Brock thanked her before taking the stairs two at a time. When he got to Tyler's floor, he saw Evan and Marcel outside his door, trying to get in.
"Just let us in, Tyler! It'll be okay." Marcel begged.
"No, it won't be! I love him and I lost him. I fucked up and there's no getting him back." Tyler cried through the door.
"Yes there is." Brock spoke up loud enough for Tyler to hear. The two guys looked at him shocked. The door flew open, nearly sending Evan to the ground. Tyler looked at Brock with red, teary eyes.
"M-moo?" He whispered. Evan and Marcel backed away slowly before retreating to their room.
"Who am I kidding, Ty? I'm absolutely in love with you. I can't get over you even if I tried." Brock confessed, slowly walking towards Tyler. Tyler stayed rooted to the floor, holding onto the doorframe. He snaked his hands up Tyler's chest and around his neck. He was frozen in place. He never thought he'd feel Brock's loving touch again. But he was. Brock stood on his toes and kissed Tyler softly. Just a soft peck, no more than a few seconds. But it was enough to show Tyler his love was real.
"I'm so sorry Brock. I regret letting you walk out of my life that day. I need you." Tyler choked out, his eyes tearing up again.
"Then you have me. I love you, Tyler. I won't go anywhere as long as you show me you want me to stay." He whispered to the taller man. Tyler buried his face in Brock's neck.
"I love you too, Moo."
