In celebration of Fourth of July, and reaching 30k views!! Thank you!
Also, my knowledge of cars is close to none, so I avoided giving details on that part. Deal with it.
Anthony roused from his sleep, slightly dazed as he tried to determine his surroundings. He was in his bedroom he shared with his boyfriend. Though that boyfriend was nowhere in sight. Stumbling, the groggy man clambered out of bed. He pulled on a pair of boxers and sweats before wandering out of the bedroom to find his lover. Anthony couldn't find him anywhere in the house. Keys jiggled in the lock of the front door and he met his boyfriend's grayish-blue eyes.
"Hey babe." Anthony greeted tiredly.
"Hey. You want breakfast?" Tyler asked him as he drew him close and pecked his temple. Tyler's stubble on his chin tickled Anthony's cheek, arousing a soft chuckle.
"Yeah. Can we cook pancakes?" He asked the taller man. Tyler nodded as he led him into the kitchen and gathered the various ingredients they'd need while Anthony got the cooking supplies out of the cabinets. Time passed, and both men (and their counters) were splattered with specks of flour. Despite that, they sat happily at their kitchen table munching on fluffy pancakes doused in syrup. "Did you get the fireworks?" Anthony asked as they cleaned up the kitchen a while later.
"Not yet. I was thinking we could go browse the car lots, since you're starting to get into them as much as I am, and we can just pick them up on the way home." Suggested Tyler.
"Sounds good. I need to shower before we go." Anthony started to the stairs, and Tyler jogged to catch up to him.
"I need to shower, too. Why not shower together? Save water and all that bullshit." Tyler whispered in his ear with a laugh, drawing his boyfriend's hips back against him. As much as Anthony wanted to give in, he knew they'd get nothing done once they went down that road.
"No fooling around. You and I both know that our plans won't get done." Anthony warned, pointing a finger in his tall boyfriend's face.
"I'll try." Tyler bit his finger once before smirking and bounding up the stairs of their home. Anthony let out a frustrated groan before following after him. After a two hour shower, vigorous scrubbing of the sticky pancake batter, and only having to push Tyler's hands away twice (a record for tyler, really), they finished showering and got dressed in comfortable outfits for the day.
As they drove in Tyler's corvette, Tyler kept a firm hand on the wheel, the other resting in its usual place on Anthony's knee. They joked around and sang along horribly to songs on the radio, their boisterous laughter echoing out of the open windows.
They explored different car lots, fawning over nice cars they'd never have. Anthony absolutely fell in love with one in particular, but knew he'd never have the guts to make the purchase. Tyler saw it though, being sure to memorize the make and model as they left. On the way home, Tyler got a call from his parents asking for help with something. Anthony didn't question it.
"I'll be back in an hour, two hours tops." Tyler assured as they sat in the driveway. Anthony pecked his lips.
"I'll be waiting, you shit." He giggled, kissing Tyler again, being sure to lightly tug on the hair at the back of Tyler's neck, something he knew drove the man crazy. Winking at his boyfriend, he snatched up the bags of fireworks they bought and got out of the car. Tyler cursed, words of endearment surely, pulling out of the driveway. Two hours later, Tyler was sauntering through the front door with a proud grin on his face.
"What are you grinning like that for?" Anthony asked warily. Tyler just shook his head and held out his hand. Nervously, Anthony let Tyler pull him up and out the front door, covering his eyes in the process. When the got outside, Tyler removed his hands and Anthony was speechless.
