***Matt's POV***

How could life get any better?! I chuckled as I watched the girls in the pool. It was my turn playing life guard unfortunately.

My eye's found Tiff and I instantly started to smile. God what that girl does to me.... It's unbelievable!

I Scooted back on the lounge chair trying to get comfortable. That's when I noticed Brian pulling up a chair next to me.

I pulled my aviators up so I could see him clearer.

"what are you doing out here? It's not your turn to be life guard for another...." I looked at my phones clock quick "hour"

"I just wanted to talk...." he hesitated as he watched the girls on the diving board. He even tensed when Julia almost slipped. Somebody is in love, I chuckled to myself.

"is this a synyster gates talk, or a Brian Haner talk?" I questioned. I really didn't want to have a Syn gates talk.... Cause usually it was about guitar riffs. God those where so boring, should I us a E chord or E minor?? I don't care!!!! That's why your our guitarist, you should know this!!!!

"A Brian talk" he chuckled knowing what I was referring to.

"shoot" I laid back, waiting for him to start talking. My eyes followed Tiffs every move, making sure she didn't get hurt.

"what do you think about Johnny?" I turned looking at him my eyebrow raised. Johnny? Really?? We are talking about Johnny???

"I love the dude, if I didn't he wouldn't be in the band" I laughed, but stopped when Bri gave me a serious look. Jesus!! Why does he have to be so up tight?!

"no, I mean.... How do you feel about him and linds?" he nodded his head over to her. Oh......

"If he makes her happy, then I'm all for it. Why you aren't? I'd think you'd be the one supporting this, since your so protective of her"

" I'm protective of her because she's one of my best friends Matt. I'm just leery of Johnny's intentions" I gave him a odd look, not really understanding. Intentions? Does he need any??Johnny has been one of her friends forever.

"you don't think he really loves her?" my brain was spinning, thinking about this.

"I know he loves her, but I'm worried he's using her. Using her feelings to his advantage." I've truthfully never seen Brian this concerned. Which is why I decided I should keep this talk in the back of my mind.

"come on Bri, I doubt Johnny would do that. Seriously, because if you or I ever found out, his short ass would be, pounded into the ground" I chuckled thinking about how funny that would be.

"yeah your right" he laid back against the chair watching the girls. " I'm being way to protective.... I just love her Matt, I don't want her to get hurt anymore" I smiled and patted his back.

"I know you do" I pushed his shoulder a bit. " why don't you go in with them, have some fun with Julia!" I wiggled my eyebrow at him.

He started laughing as he stood up, talking off his shirt. I heard a whistle from the pool, an a girl cheering.

"Mr Haner take it off!!" Julia giggle and quickly jumped into the pool, before Brian could get to her.

"Oh you wish!!" I watched him jump in after her.
