"Destiny! Destiny!" I cried frantically, setting down Lion and running over to the kid.
"I'm fine." He groaned, lifting his head after being made jump by the gunfire, falling over the balcony railing and face planting onto the mattress.
"Ah thank God, you idiot!" I breathed, helping him up before climbing from the skip and dropping to the ground.
But then my legs gave way. My vision blurred. I hit the floor. Everything went dark.
