Once the girl left and we stopped laughing we stayed quiet for awhile. Aidan looked like he was in pain over something. Should I try to comfort him? Ask what's wrong? Or maybe that be weird. We barely know each other.
"So um" I started uncomfortably. Words didn't feel right in my mouth whenever I was around him. "Is uh something wrong?" If he wasn't standing right there is slap myself. I sounded completely stupid!
"Nah" he said after a one shoulder shrug. "Just be prepared to hear we hooked up or something stupid." My heart fluttered a little at this, the ached. He thought it was stupid to kiss me?
I laughed, but it sounded nervous and forced. "Wow, that's silly." Though I wish it wasn't, a voice said in the back of my mind. You want him to kiss you. I scowled at myself. "Um, what should we do now?"
He shrugged again, "I promised I wouldn't leave ya." I felt a small shy smile spread across my face. "So you choose kid." I had to stop myself from frowning at that. I'm just a kid to him.
"I'm not really a party person" I said awkwardly, fidgeting when he looked at me.
"I thought that" he said while nodding. "You look more like a goody-2-shoes to me."
I leaped down from the table and put my hands on my hips. I probably looked really stupid, but right then I didn't care. "I am NOT a goody-2-shoes." He raised his eyebrow at me, with that smirk of his. As if questioning me. "I'll prove it!" Without waiting for him to say anything less I walked out of the room, the door semi-slamming behind me.
The music hit me first. It was so loud, though I couldn't actually hear the lyrics. Everyone was yelling and laughing to much. All you could hear the the thumbing of the sound bouncing off the walls. I started walking through the crowd, not knowing where I was going or what I was doing. After awhile I found myself in the kitchen. A few guys were there with 2 girls I knew from my art class.
"Heyyyyy" one girl slurred, obviously already drunk. "I know you! Dudes I know this chick!" She was pointing at me now and jumping a little.
One guy looked up, a smile was slowly making it's way on to his face. It was the guy Aidan was fighting with before. What was his name? Oh, it was Tyler something.
"Decided to leave the loser I see" his lips turned into a sly smirk. "I don't blame you."
The girl grabbed my upper arm and dragged me over to the table where everyone was. "This is.. Um her name.." The girl had a frown on her face, trying to remember my name.
"Aurora" I said, trying to keep and boredom out of my voice. I really didn't want to be here.
"That a cool name" a guy with dark brown hair said. It fell over one of his eyes in that emo kid of hair cut. He had his lip pierced, personally I always thought snake bites were cool.
"I know" the girl hiccuped then giggled. "I wish I had a pretty name like that."
"Um thank you" I said, not really knowing what else I could say. "So um what's your name?" The guy with the snake bites pointed to himself and I nodded, trying to fight the urge to roll my eyes.
"My real name or what I call myself" one side of his mouth lifted into a smirk. Why do all guys smirk? Can't they grin or something? I merely shrugged with a flat look. "Name'a Blake, but I go by Blade."
I quirked an eyebrow at him. "Wow, is that a letter change there?" He grinned at me as I smirked back at him. I could be social...nah I'm just lying. I'm about as social as a rock.
"Ya know it is" he smiled at me, clean straight teeth with a yellowish tint. He had braces at some point I noticed. He leaned in like this was a big secret, "though most people don't notice that."
