Aidan was pulling me towards his car, glaring at nothing. I would have found this funny if I wasn't scared that he'd murder someone. His grip on my wrist tightened and I had to hold back a small whimper that threatened to escape. I'd probably have a small bruise there tomorrow, but that's a tomorrow problem. He pulled me towards the car, mumbling angrily about something I couldn't hear. He sighed, letting go of my arm and opening the door for me.
Rubbing my wrist I gave a small smile as I climbed in the car, his eyes went down to my wrist and they softened, realizing he hurt me. "I'm so sorry" he hesitantly reached for my hand and turned it a few times, "damn it.. Damn it! I'm so sorry.."
"I'm fine" I pulled my arm away from him, my tone might have sounded a little harsh. More gently I added, "really, I am." I gave a half smile and he tried to smile back, but you could tell he still felt horrible. "So.. How's you're art project coming along" I trying to take his might off my wrist.
He snorted, "like I'm going to tell you. No hints." He gave me a smirk that felt my mouth falling open. "oh dear, close your mouth. You'll catch flies." I hit his arm and stuck my tongue out at him like the mature person I was.
"Well fine then" I said trying not to pout. "I didn't want to know anyway." I crossed my arms and he just laughed at me, I smiled a little. Seems like he wasn't mad anymore.

I woke up smiling like the fool because I dreamt that Aidan had sang a song for me. I reached over and picked up my little alarm clock, I don't know why people hate them so much. Choose a song to wake up to. You'll sing along and before you know it you're awake. Simple as that.
It was 9:30, I frowned. Why was I up so early? On a Saturday no less. Rubbing my eyes I headed downstairs. "Mom" I called, but not answer. "Mom, are you up?" As I walked into the kitchen another note was on the table.
Sorry I forgot to tell you I have a meeting with an important client, be back late. Love you, Mom
I sighed and crumpled the paper, throwing it in the trash. She was always in some meeting or other. I was starting to think she was making sure she was always in a meeting. I open the fridge getting out the milk. I put it under my arm and grabbed some cereal from the counter and put them on the table. Going over to the cabinet I got a bowl, then I got a spoon.
Pouring the cereal and milk at the same time, the only way to make cereal might I add. I started eating, not really hungry, but breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I chewed loudly since no one was here, like that was new anyway. Tapping my fingers on the table, I stated thinking of what I could do today. Maybe I'd actually get some work done on that project. Then I scowled at my bowl, I have like a month to do it, why start now? Adian didn't even have an idea now. I frowned more at this.
I continued eating, then pushed my bowl away after eating half of it. Suddenly music blared and I nearly fell of my chair, I started looking through the pillows on the couch, throwing over my shoulder. Then running upstairs to my room to realize it was my phone.
"Hello" I asked in an annoyed voice, not checking to see who called me. It was probably one of my idiot friends.
"Um hey" the voice on the other end said. I looked at he number realizing that I had no idea who this person was. "It's Blake."
I smiled a cocky little smirk, "oh, I thought it was Blade? Changing it up I see."
He laughed a little, "so um this is Aurora, right?" I made a small yes noise. "Oh good, I thought maybe you'd give me a fake number."
"Oh gosh darn it" I said in an overly fake mad voice. "Why hadn't I thought of that?"
He laughed again, "so um Aurora, I uh.." Another voice I couldn't really make out started yelling at him. He must have putt his hand over the phone because his voice became muffled. "Will you shut up! I'm on the phone!" He sighed, "sorry about that. Um I was wondering if you wanted to go out today?"
He sounded nervous, it was kinda funny really. But I felt mad too, maybe I shouldn't mess with him... Nah, can't let an opportunity like this go. "Two things. One: son't guys have some stupid 3 day rule or whatever?"
"Oh well um kinda" he said. "I just um don't follow it all the time?"
"Hmm, and are you asking me out" I asked, teasing a bit. "Like a date?"
He seemed to get flustered by this, "what well I though like hanging out..." He went one rambling about it. But then he shocked both of us it seems. "Well you know what, yes. I'm asking you out. Like a date."
"Oh" I was surprised to say that least, I started twirling my hair. A stupid habit I picked up from my mother. That was the only thing I could think of saying.
"Oh gosh I screwed that up" he said in a grown. "Not a date. Just hanging out, yeah?"
"So not a date then" I said, just to clarify.
"No, I mean it's not like I wouldn't go out with you" he said, going back to rambling. "You're really cool ya know? And you're pretty too, but maybe we should just hang out. I mean if you wanted it to be a date it could be." I rolled my eyes and held my phone to my ear with my shoulder. Picking through close in my dresser.
"Dude" I finally said. "Sure, let's hang out. I'm not doing anything today anyway."
He sighed in relief. "Cool, I'll pick you up in like half an hour. Later."
"Wait a second there" I said. "How are you going to pick my u if you don't know where I live? O have you stalked me since we met?"
He laughed again, "true, true. So where do you live then?"
"58 2nd street" I said with a yawn. Hoping he didn't know this town.
"Cool see ya at 10" and with that he hung up. I threw my phone on my bed, looking for a clean pair of jeans. I found a black pair, I tossed it on the back of the chair in front of my desk. Opening my closet, I saw the sketched canvas that was going to be Aidan 'gift'. I smacked my forehead, realizing how stupid I was. I just agreed to a not-date date. What would Aidan think if he found out? He'd probably think I wasn't into him.
I shook my head, "stop it." I scolded myself, "no thinking about that." I picked my favorite Bullet for My Valentine shirt. Throwing it at the chair. "I can hang out with a guy" I told myself, heading towards the bathroom to shower and get ready. "Spending the day with him doesn't make us engaged, right?" I laughed at my own foolishness as I went to get ready for a no-date date.
