Chapter 10: Finally some answers

[Miley's P.O.V]

She woke up again, her head spinning from the bang against the bars. However, this time when she opened her eyes it was dark outside and when she looked up she could see millions of stars scattered across the midnight sky like a blanket. She wished she could have a real blanket though, because her hands were shivering because of the cold.

Where was she now? Had she been moved? One thing she did know was that she was still stuck inside this human cage and that the strong scent of farm animals was making her feel queasy.

She stood up and looked around but was disappointed. There was nothing, absolutely nothing. She was alone in the middle of a grassy field, with an exception of about two trees. What was she supposed to do now?

She felt sick with loneliness. Just then, she saw something in the distance. It was a small white light, and it was coming closer and closer to her. The more she focused on it, the more blurred and brighter it got. It was about two metres away from her now and when she could see what it was her eyes widened and she gasped in amazement. The creature had two beautifully shaped wings that were white and purple, it's body was petite but perfect and she wore a small glittered dress.

It was a Fairy!

Miley watched the Fairy as she flew closer, her wings balancing gracefully as she flew to a stop outside of the cage.

'Greetings, my name is Violet and I am a Fairy from Fae city.' She spoke, her voice as sweet as her name. Then she bowed her head elegantly and looked at Miley.

'Are you Miley?' She asked.

'Yes, but who are you?' Miley asked back unsure of this magical creature.

'As I said, I am a Fairy and I have been asked to keep you company, keep you safe and help you escape.' Replied Violet, before doing a 360 degrees twirl.

Miley lightened up to the sound of that but she still wasn't too sure, so she asked,

'Who told you to do that for me?'

' Aljin' Violet replied, as if it were common sense, 'He is a Troll prince, he has been cursed and so have you.' She shook her wings thoroughly and then gazed at Miley. 'Only he knows why you are here and it won't be long till the rest of Troll Valley find out.' Violet explained.

Miley was confused, she looked down at the dark blades of grass.

'How am I cursed?' She whispered.

'I can't explain everything, but all you need to know right now is that once the Crown, who is Troll Royalty, find out you are here they will keep you captive here for the rest of your life.' Violet's voice was calm and relaxed but Miley began to tremble. She was scared.
