Chapter Five: Scars that run deep

*Alyssa*

I can't believe that my brother has decided to waltz back into my life like nothing ever happened. He is brilliant at doing that. I have no mutual bond with him what so ever. I don't even like the guy. I hate him with an undying passion. He is the enemy but unfortunately, I cannot kill him. He has more skills than I do and I have tried harming him before but it never worked. It only got him angrier.

Flashback: Six years ago...

I am sat on the floor coated in blood. Tears are pricking in my eye's and I look at the red liquid all around me. Salty stains drip down my cheek ever so slowly and splash to the floor with a sudden speed. I am thirteen years old and I shouldn't be coated in blood nor should I be sat on the wooden floor knee deep in it.

"You know what I had to do Ally." I hear a voice say from behind me. I turn my head and see Craig standing there coated in blood, the bloody metal knife in his hand. I shake my head as tears blur my vision. I cry a little more and look down at the floor, not daring to meet his eyes.

"You know I had to." He tells me again. This time shake my head more vigorously. I look straight at him and shout through tears.

"You didn't have to kill them!" I shout. Craig looks at me sadly. More tears flow down my face and my once cream dress is covered in dark red stains. Originally I wore, a cream dress with a black belted bow in the middle, cream flats, and my dark hair was in a bun with my bangs curled hanging out gracefully. Now, my hair is messy and covered in tears and half draping out. I clutch onto the body below me tighter.

"You didn't have to kill them..." I whisper to myself as more tears run down my cheeks. Craig sighs and I hear him walking towards me.

"Oh little Ally, I had to... Don't you see that they were poisoning your mind? They only claimed to love you. They were going to do bad things! They lied to us Ally, I had to stop them before it was too late." He says to me bending down now so he was directly in front of me. He's a liar. They loved me. They loved him, he didn't have to kill them. There was another way. He didn't have to get so angry at them. This didn't have to happen.

"They lied." He whispers with authority. After those words, I immediately snap, my breathing increases and I scowl straight at my brother and bring my hand and hit him straight across his face. The sound echoes throughout the whole room. His head is sent to the side and a red hand mark is left on his cheek. My breathing decreases and I calm down slightly.

"You bitch! YOU UNGRATEFUL BITCH!" Craig screams in my face. I stand up quickly and step away. I pick up the knife Craig had dropped and point it directly at him. The knife faced Craig but he started to laugh as he sees me holding it.

"You going to use that Ally? Are you really going to hurt me?" He taunts and stands up. I stay silent but the blade is still pointing towards him.

"You wouldn't dare hurt me, Ally." He tells me and takes a step forward. I stay firmly where I am. I stare at him, not taking my eye's off of him for a second.

"Why did you do it.... WHY?!" I ask him, I was begging to know why he had done what he had done. What drives a thirteen-year-old to kill.

"They hurt me, Ally, they lied and they hurt me. They hurt you! They were going to hurt, US!" He starts ranting. I shake my head again and scream at him.

"YOU LIAR!" He shakes his head and walks closer towards me. He is centimeters away from my face. His facial expression changes from angry and he smiles softly at me placing his hand on my cheek.
