Charlotte Troy rejection

Derek's PoV

After Leo had phoned me to inform me that Charlotte was at his pack instead of the Luna moon pack I knew something was wrong I had felt her emotions, something wasn't right I didn't know what it was but I'm sure she will tell me on our date.

It was now 7pm and I was making my way over to the winter moon pack to pick Charlotte up, I had made plans to take her to a fancy restaurant in town I only hope she will like it. I knew I had to make it up to her for everything that I had done in the past that caused her pain, it wasn't going to be easy but I would do whatever it took to win her over.

I was stupid at rejecting her in the first place, I had not only caused her pain and myself pain loneliness and emptiness. So yeah I had a hell off a lot of making up to do. Tonight was just the start of it all.

Pulling up outside alpha Leo's home I get out of the car making my way toward the door with a single rose in hand as I knock on the door a girl who looks just like Charlotte answers the door.

"Hello I'm alpha Derek I've come to pick Charlotte up" she smiles warmly at me

"Come in she should be down in a minute. I'm Clara by the way" I hold my hand out for her to shake which she does

"Pleasure to finally meet you Luna Clara"

"Please just Clara" she says laughing we walk inside just as Charlotte comes down the stairs wearing a black pencil skirt with tights an a long sleeved white blouse looking absolutely breathtaking.

She smiles at me before making her way towards me.

"Hey there you look gorgeous" I say honestly handing her the Rose which she takes.

"Thank you, Clara I'll see you soon and thanks again sis" she says before we head out to the car. I open the door for her letting her step into the car before closing the door and getting in the drivers seat.

The whole drive there we sat in a comfortable silence, I could tell she was deep in thought but I didn't say anything I left her to her our thoughts.

After 20 minutes drive I pull up outside  the restaurant getting out and opening her door for her to step out. When we walk into the restaurant I give the lady at the door my name and she takes her to a table for two, there was a candle lit in the middle of the table with a bottle of wine in a ice bucket to keep the wine chilled. She hands us menus before leaving us alone.

"So are you going to tell me why you was at your sister place and not your fathers" I ask her as I wanted to know what was going on.

"Well as you know Cody came looking for me earlier after Katie went back without me, they both told my father I was with you, when I got back my father and I got into an argument let's just say he admitted he was keeping you from me, it was like he was making me choose you or him my own father so I packed up my stuff and went to my sister what more can I say, I mean your my mate I guess your the only one who can fix my pain, we are made for each other"I could say the hurt in her eyes at the thought her own father had done that to her, mates need each other unless you rejected them and they accept it but in this case Charlotte didn't accept it so it made it hard on us both as the mate bond was still connected the mate pull was still there we felt each other emotions, we knew when the other was hurt.

"I'm sorry to hear that Charlotte I didn't what any of that to happen, I truly am sorry, I only wanted a chance to make it right between us"

"It's fine, I thought my father would understand more than anyone after what he did to my mum but I thought wrong, we all deserve a second chance at happiness, I just want to forget about the past and move forward"

"I understand and You don't know how much this means to me that you are giving me another chance, I won't ever hurt you again Charlotte I promise"

"We will see" I knew it was hard for her to believe me but I meant ever word.

The rest of the evening went by with us laughing and joking enjoying each other company, I learnt a lot about Charlotte, her favourite colour, favourite food, her hobbies and how she loved to train and push herself to breaking point I guess that was my doing.

After the restaurant I took her to the beach, we walked alone the beach just enjoying being with each other and having fun I actually ending up throwing her in the water, she got me back by pulling me with her. Let's just say that tonight was the first step forward and I wasn't pushing her, we was just simply getting to know each other before taking the next step.
