Derek's PoV

From the moment I walked into the pack house at the Luna moon pack, I smelt the most intoxicating scent fresh rain and caramel my two favourite smells in the world, I knew what this meant my wolf was going crazy but I pushed him aside.

That's when I saw her the alphas daughter was my mate, she is 16 and looked beautiful, I know when our eyes meet for a few seconds that the mate bond had connected in a way and we would feel each other's pain.

Goddess why did this have to happen, I didn't want my mate I was happy with Sasha and how things was with her. As i sit here in Lukas office I couldn't stop thinking about what I was going to do I felt a sharp pain in my chest it wasn't much but it was there, I knew she felt hurt who wouldn't when there mate ignores the fact that your they mates.

Anyway back to business I was sat here going over designs for the alpha new home that he wanted to build for him and his wife the Luna, Nate is currently showing him so new modern homes we have just gone over the last few months, I just hope that he decides soon so I can leave here, I needed to get out of here away from my mate.

"I think we have the right one" he says showing me the design, it was of a nice two floor home mainly built with wood only using hard top roofs to stop the wood rotting over the years.

This sort of design would cost at least a third of a million if you wanted to use the best of the best.

"Very well, would you like the same layout of the garden or would you like to build the garden yourselves"

"My wife would like to design the garden herself if thats OK with you, also this top floor I want to be like the bottom one all glass, all the way round as we want to build the home near the cliff at the edge of our territory, near my fathers home"

"I see that shouldn't be no problem I'm sure Nate can have the finishing look to you by the end of week, alpha if I may can I leave you and my beta also known as business partner to finish over the last few details, there seems to be a problem at the pack so I need to make a call"

"No problem alpha thank you for all you help I'm sure we can finish this when I have the final design"

"If you are sure alpha I would be truly grateful"

"Sure I have giving you details on how I want my home to be, now all you have to do is make the changes and price the work I'm sure I can wait a few days wouldn't hurt, now go your pack needs you"

"Thank you alpha" i shake his hand and leave his office along with Nate.

"Adrain whats the problem"

"Sorry alpha I didn't want to bother you but the council are here to make sure we are following rules his asking for you" just what I need when I go out on business stupid councilmen also showing up out of the blue.

"Tell them I'm on my way until then Show them to a guest room"

"Yes alpha" I cut the link as I make my way downstairs to leave.

Just as I'm about to walk out the door my mate comes in wear a t-shirt that goes to her knees guess she's being for a run.

"Are you leaving now" she say with hurt in her voice

"Yes and I Derek Jones alpha of the blood stone pack rejected you Charlotte Troy as my mate and Luna of my pack" she shakes her head no as if telling she was not accepting the rejection. Nate looks shocked but covers it before we leave. As I walk out the door I hear her painful scream. But I had to reject her I loved Sasha to much and I couldn't be with her knowing I love another.
