Charlottes PoV

I can't believe that it's being a year already the pain of the rejection is still there I sometime feel his emotions of emptiness and sadness, I no longer felt any of those things i just felt the pain when he still slept with another. I didn't hate him for that I guess if I was still that same girl I would go it myself let him know how it felt but I wasn't shallow like that any more.

If anything the rejection changed me for the better I fight each day training my hardest, in doing so I am now training the pack along side Cody, as my father thought we had bother come alone way in training.

Cody had even met his mate Katie green she was from my uncle Connors pack the silver moon pack, I had to say she was such a lovely girl so lively always knew how to make you smile.

Today was Chases first birthday so Leo and Clara was bringing him over to be with close family they didn't want a party at they pack for him. I guess you could say Clara wanted Chase to grow up around us knowing who me are and not be the girl who left her pack behind.

I was sitting in my father office with Cody going over plans for the new training schedule for the teenagers when the phone rang so I decided to answer it.

"Hello Charlottes Troy speaking" silent that's all I got all until I heard that voice the one I hadn't heard since that painful night

"Hello Charlotte, it's so nice to her your voice after so long, I'm so sorry for everything" Cody looked at me confused but I held my hand up stopping him for taking the phone out of my hand

"What do you want" I ask rudely can you blame me he caused me nothing but pain.

"I need to see you Charlotte, your my mate can we not at least talk about what happened please"

"You lost that chance when you rejected me,now what do you want"

"I told you what I want Charlotte please,I need to see you"

"No, and don't even think about calling me again, My father told you once leave me alone" I didn't give him chance to answer as I put the phone back down, I didn't notice I was crying until Cody was at my side hugging me to his chest.

"I'm so sorry Charlotte,you shouldn't of had to speak to him, father keeps telling him not to ring and leave you alone"

"It's fine, honestly look let's head down Clara just arrived with Chase and I want to spend time with him today is his day" Cody nods letting me go.

I make my way downstairs wrapping my eyes as I enter the living room running over to Chase I pick him up and spin him around. Pulling funny faces as he laughs at me goddess I love this little guy so much.

"Hey there little man did you miss your aunt char char because I sure missed you" he laughs more holding my face in both hands before giving me a kiss and saying the best words I have ever heard

"Aunt C"

"Aww Chase your growing up so fast your aunt c loves you so much how about me get the birthday boy some cake" he nods his head as if cake was the best thing he heard all day.

I walk into the kitchen with Chase in my arms before sitting him in his high chair and getting him his cake before placing it in front of him. If it wasn't for him and the love of my family I don't think I would of got through the rejection in all honesty. Today hearing his voice for the first time did something to me I didn't know what but I didn't like it.
