It's already been a week since Kaneki and Touka appeared and it's been amazing!
Everyday at lunch, we all meet up and have a cup of coffee (Kaneki and Touka found out they're still ghouls) and we sometimes go down to the dog park... Oh I bet you're wondering why we go there? Well, let's just say I love dogs.

It's very weird though, because when we meet up I always get something to eat but I never seem hungry. And whenever I eat I always feel like I'm going to be sick. Strange huh? I've been fine with eating up until Kaneki turned up so why now am I feeling ill?

Has it awakened something inside of me?

"Hey Kaneki! Why do I always feel ill whenever I eat?"

"Oh, maybe you're a ghoul too?" I could see him smirking from the corner of my eye

"Haha very funny Kaneki" I said, sarcastically

"He could be right you know" Touka said, sitting down with a mug of coffee.

"T-that can't be true right? That's not even possible!" I stuttered

"Well I've never heard it happen before but it could be possible" Touka said thinking thoroughly

"Oh wow that would be so cool! We could go around doing ghoul stuff!" Kaneki shouted. 'Someone seems very excited'

"Ghoul stuff?" Touka and I said in unison

"Uh yeah. You know, hunting and buying new masks... And stuff"

"Yeah that does sound good," I said, smiling to myself.

"but do ghouls even like... Exist anymore- I mean do they, you know... Have shops that have ghoul masks and do people even know what ghouls are these days?" Touka asked, looking over to me

"Pfft obviously you idiot- I mean yeah sure!" I laughed, nervously gaining a glare (again) from Touka

~Time skip~

"Hey let's go take a look around town! I wanna go see someone okay?" I said

"Hai hai!"

'Kaneki seems like his old self! Like how he was before he... Changed'

Kaneki pov

'I wonder who Hide's going to see. I hope it's someone nice!'

We started heading down an alleyway that seemed to be getting darker the further we walked down it.

"How much longer Hide? I'm getting tireeeed!" I moaned, slumping my shoulders

"Hey stop complaining lazy bones! Not long now okay? We're nearly there" He sighed. A lot.

"Hmph" was all that Touka said.

'She's so antisocial! She needs to get some more friends and talk more! She needs to just leave me alone!' I chuckled to myself after thinking that

Touka jabbed me in the ribs after I chuckled which really hurt. 'C-can she read minds?!'

~Time skip~

Hide pov

"We're here gu- Kaneki get off my back" I laughed

Touka and I was there for 5 minutes outside the building struggling to get Kaneki off my back.
And let me tell you something... He is pretty strong for someone who's half asleep!

After succeeding in getting him off my back, we entered the dimly lit building.

After walking down a long corridor, we ended up in a wide room covered with tables and sheets.

"This place seems familiar..." Kaneki said trying to remember something from the past

"Oh really?"

"Yeah"

Kaneki walked over to a sheet that had something underneath it. He reached for the sheet but paused when I said "be careful".

"Okay" He seemed hesitant but pulled the sheet away, causing it to fly in the air and land on Touka's head

"Pfft" I snorted and tried to hold my laugh in. "Cough cough"

"Boo!"
"Uwaaaa!!!"
Bam

Touka hurriedly pulled the sheet from her head and we both spun around to see a started Kaneki sitting on the floor rubbing his but in pain.

"You okay?" I asked

"Y-yeah I think s- UTA?!?!"

Kaneki and Touka stood there wide eyed and speechless looking at Uta.

"Huh? You know him?"

"Yeah. He's the one who gave us those ghoul masks in the past. How did you get here? You died?" Touka said, regaining her composure and she stared at her nails trying to act bored.

"Yup. Was eaten by another ghoul during the fight. I nearly won because he was starting to get weak but he attacked me from behind and ate me." He said, like it wasn't a big deal.

~Time skip~

"Thanks for making us the masks Utaaa!" I yelled down the street, waving at Uta who was stood at the door.

We found out that in fact I am a ghoul now. I don't know how though, because I don't think I had any ancestors who were ghouls and I don't know how I can just wake up as one.
We all talked to Uta for a bit about the usual stuff you ask people you know and we talked about what kind of masks we wanted.

Uta told us to come back in a few days for our masks so I'm very excited.
Touka and Kaneki are getting the same masks as what they used to have and I'm having a lion mask!

~Time skip (again)~

We were just about to turn in to the street that my house was on when we saw someone familiar standing at my front gate, looking up at the door.

"Tsukiyama?!" We all screamed running away. I turned around and saw him skipping after us with an excited and happy look on his face.

"Oh no" I sighed.

Oops I haven't updated in ages.
Thank you Alex (AlexandraBrownbill) for giving me some ideas for this chapter! I've been stuck on what to write for a while 😅
I have a lot of trouble thinking of new chapters to write so if anyone has any good ideas then feel free to comment them down below! (Doubt anyone will but oh well it's worth a shot)
