After regaining consciousness, I got up and looked around myself.

Oh yeah. I'm in Anteiku.
I remember telling Hide before he died that I'd take him some place where we can start all over again
So. That's exactly what I'm going to do!
I want to leave this place. carefully, I picked Hide up and left Anteiku... Forever

I looked around the place for a good road to go down when I spotted a clear, body free alleyway to go down.

I was about to jump on a roof to look at my surroundings when I heard the sound of footsteps on the ground coming towards me at a fast pace.

Before I could turn around to see who it was, I felt a pair of hands grip the sleeves on the back of my arms and a head rest on my back.

"who-" I started but got cut off by a little whimper noise.

"K-kaneki... please don't go"
Touka? Is that... Touka?

"let go, I need to be somewhere Touka" I demanded.

"No! You have to stay! Stay with me please!" she pleaded.

"why should I? It's not like I belong here anymore. No one cares about me. If I stay here any longer, I'll loose my mind. It has all my memories here so I want to leave and forget them all. It's too upsetting." I whispered, getting hurt over my own words.

"I want you to stay because-" she hesitated.
Why is she hesitating? What isn't she telling me?

"Just tell me. Or, if you won't, move out of my way. Please"

"I-i love you, Kaneki" she said, blushing slightly.

Is she seriously telling me this right now? This isn't really the right time to be telling me.

"Um... Touka I'm- sorry. I love you, but not the same way you do." (sorry touken shippers ;3 but the shuuneki ship already set sail and it's better than touken (it's just my opinion mkay? So dkm pls) *3*)

"well, please, at least let me go with you?" she begged me.

It looked like she was ready to get down on her hands and knees and beg me. I knew she wouldn't give up so why not let her.

"Um sure?"

Me and Touka looked around the place and found a tiny baggage ship, so, obviously we snuck on that and waited to see where it would take us

It was pretty cold so we huddled together to try and keep warm. It seemed to be working because we soon felt better and we completely forgot about the cold and that it's winter.

We didn't know how long we were in the ship but it felt like forever since they've seen the sun.

It's been about a week since we entered the ship and we didn't know how long we'd be in there.
After a while we heard the ship making noises and then it went all quiet and very still.

"Have we stopped?" I asked, feeling nervous.

"I think so. Come on lets move so that if the doors open we won't get caught."

"Okay."

After a couple minutes that felt like hours, we heard clicking noises and soon after, the doors flew open.

We quickly hid behind some bags so we weren't caught and a tall, plain, skinny looking woman who smelled like cigarettes walked into the ship.

She started collecting bags and kept placing them on a trailer before writing stuff down on her clipboard.

When she turned her back to us, I knew that was our chance to escape, so, that's what we did.

I tiptoed past the slender, smelly woman and mouthed 'shh! Be quiet' to Touka who was also tiptoeing behind me.

Once we got away from the ship, I could feel myself relax and sighed deeply.

"Woah. We're finally here!" I squealed like a fangirl, throwing my head back. I didn't throw my arms in the air because I'd drop Hide.

Touka started looking around us and asked "yeah... but what exactly is 'here'?"

"Ummm Canada" I said after spotting a sign that read 'welcome to Canada!'

After talking and walking a bit more, we decided to look for somewhere to stay.

I had to rewrite this chapter bc wattpad decided it didn't want to publish this.
So all my effort and time was wasted oops.
Oh well, at least I rewrote it and posted it again instead of giving up and going to look for food whilst throwing my phone at a wall.
