I woke up to my alarm going off, indicating that I have to get ready for work.

"Ugh it's morning already! I still feel tired and sluggish though" I groaned, rolling over and trying to find the alarm to turn it off.

I peeked through one eye and saw that it was already 8am

"UWAA!" I shrieked, (in a manly way obviously... heh ) "I'm gonna be late!"

I shot out of bed and got ready.

It's already been 100 years since I died in Anteiku and I've already gotten used to my new life here in Canada.

'I was... what's the word? 'reincarnated'? And I ended up in a different country'

I wonder how Kaneki, Touka-chan and the others are. I miss Kaneki so much.
I wonder if he survived and won the fight. I've never been away from him this long!

4. whole. goddamn years.

I don't know how long I was spaced out for but I found myself outside the office I work at.

Entering the building, I was greeted with lots of "good morning"s and "hello sir"s accompanied by warm smiles.

I get a lot of attention because I'm the owner of the company. 'Ghoulnation'

I'm very popular not just because I'm the boss, but because of my looks and my kindness.
It makes everyone feel welcome and my smile just soothes them.

But... There's just something missing. I don't know what it is I'm missing, but I know it's important.

haaaaah (he's breathing out/sighing)
"I had more work to do today but I can finally go hooome" I sighed and stretched back in my seat, earning a popping sound from my neck.
'ahhh much better'

After collecting my things together, I headed out the office and climbed into my car.

After 20 minutes of driving, I was just about to turn onto my street when I saw two lumps lying on the pavement.

'Them lumps sure do look a lot like people. maybe I should go take a look'
I thought, quickly parking my car and breaking into a jog to get to the lumps quicker

gasp!

"wha? but- w-why?!"
