Lani POV

It's been a couple days since the whole Lucious situation but today, Keem is going to his dad's house cause apparently Lucious is choosing who gets Empire. Hopefully Hakeem gets it, I can't Imagine what he'll do if he doesn't.

"Baby you gotta come." Keem said as he tried to pull me off the bed

"Why do I have to?" I asked.

"Because Lucious said wants his little princess of the Empire to be there."

"No he didn't. Plus I'm not family and this seem's like a family thing that I shouldn't be at"

"He wants you there. He said 'Bring my soon to be daughter with you, I have a gift for the princess also.' " Keem read the text

"Stop Lying" I said as I grabbed his phone out of his hand. I read the text and he was telling the truth. i guess I gotta go now. I really didn't think Lucious would want me there but I thought wrong. "Fine. Gimme a minute" I said before walking in the bathroom to take shower. When I came out, I got dressed (Media) and did my makeup then grabbed my phone and we headed to Lucious' house

He lead us to one of his many dining rooms and sat at the table. I took my seat in between Hakeem and Andre and examined the Black boxes with gold bows on them that sat on the table in front of each of us and an extra one sitting next to Jamal that I think is for Cookie, but she's not here. My thoughts were cut off as Lucious began to speak

"Yesterday.. A miracle happened." He paused to look at us. "My doctor told me that I don't have ALS. I was misdiagnosed. What I got is serious but it's not fatal"

"You're not dying?" Andre asked

"I've been given a second chance at life." he answered

"Dad, that's amazing" Jamal said with a smile

"Oh It's a miracle son. I mean, I woke up this morning so conscious of all the harm I've to each and every one of y'all. I'm not askin y'all to forgive me. Just open up the gifts."

"I don't want nothin from you." Keem said

"Just please open em"

Keem looked at Jamal then at me like he needed approval. We gave him an Okay look then he began opening the box and pulled out A gold chain with a Lion head and Wings on it.

"Those wings.. There an emblem of Empires jet flight. I should've never tried to control you, hat was wrong. And I'm sorry about putting so much unnecessary pressure on you... So when your album drops, you'll have your own jet to tour anywhere you want and don't let me or anybody else ever try and control you again." Lucious said with such sincerity

Keem put the chain back in the box without saying a word. Then came my turn. I looked at the box then at Lucious. He nodded before I opened the box. There were two gold chains(In The Media Set) with the same Lion head and a crown but one was smaller.

"The lion is to tell you that you are now and forever will be a part of The Lyon Family. The crown is to symbolize royalty since you are the Princess of this Empire and some day you will be the queen because if there is any female that Cookie will want to take her place, I'm sure it will be you and I am very sorry if I ever made you feel any type of way about me. I never meant to cause any harm."

"There's two." I said in confusion

"One for you and one for the new addition to this royal Lyon family that I see coming in the future."

"Thank you so much Lucious." I said with a wide smile as I put the chains back in the box

"My pleasure."
