Procrastination
Though we do have minds of our own, many of the choices we make are based on the relationships we have with the people and environment around us. From family and friends to celebrities and the entire world, these relationships basically shape our lives. For me and my life it includes these things especially as a student in middle school.
Some people in school have very messy binders and backpacks and, hopefully, more students have more organized things. I would, personally, say I am an organized student. I believe this is mostly because of my mom dad. This is because they always have a certain place for things to go around our house and this rubs off on me. Though at times I can look like I'm unorganized, I always know where things are in my binder and backpack.
I, probably like many other unlucky students, suffer from severe procrastination. For me I believe this comes from my dad. Mainly because no matter how important it is, like a doctor/dentist appointment, he will say he will go but when we try to schedule one he will find a way out of it. For me I really try to not procrastinate but it's like I have this internal conflict with myself. On one side I want to do my work to get a good grade but on the other I'm lazy and almost always, no matter how much I may tell myself it's important, I put it off until the last minute. I really do try and hopefully this year I can stop.
The relationships around us can change our lives in positive and negative ways. This can be how we talk, what music we listen to, what friends we hang out with, and how we perform in school, socially and academically.
