Is This Goodbye?

"Goodnight.." Lilly said, falling asleep.
I kissed her head gently, and left.

Immediately when I reached my house, I jumped into the shower, cleaning the smell of disinfectant off. I ate some pizza, and slumped on the couch. I was so freakin lonley. I guess I fell asleep, because I woke up surrounded by darkness, my phone ringing.

"Hello?" I muttered groggily.

"Hey." A girls voice said.

"Lil?" I asked.

"Who else would be calling you at 5:00 am.." She said.

"I was asleep...." I whined.

"Who cares. I CANT sleep. I need you to get me my curling iron." She said.

"Why in the world would you need that? And, I'm going to sleep in first before I do anything. So bye!" I said quickly.

"HEY!! You promised you would get me anything I forgot, and a girl still needs to look good!! Luv you baby!!" She said innocently.

"Ugh. Bye." I groaned.

She's so stubborn.

But I still love her.

I walked up to the now familiar door, and knocked. "Come in!" Lilly's voice called. I walked in.

"Hey! I brought your curling stick thingy...and a latte..." I said, placing the drink and device on a table. "Thanks! I didn't ask for the latte though." She said. " I went ahead and got it, cus' other wise you would ask later." I replied. "Smart Calpoo!" She teased. " Calpoo?" I asked laughing. "Why not?? I have all these nicknames! I like it!" She protested. "Really Lilly??!...." I whined. "Aww.. Poor Calpoo.." She said in a baby voice, playing with my hair. I rested my head against her hand. "Too bad!" She said suddenly, pulling her hand away, scaring me. "Your a bully." I said. She frowned. "But a very beautiful sweet bully.." I said, kissing her.

A short time later, Diane came in.

"Hey cutie. I'm gonna need you to leave for a bit. We will get you when were done." Diane said to me.

"K! Lilly, do you want me to bring you anything to eat?" I said.

"I'm fine. Thanks." She said. I waved goodbye, and Diane pushed me out.

I went to a bookstore that was across from the hospital, in hopes of trying to relax a bit. I found an interesting book about Jellyfish (yes jellyfish) and sat down in a comfy beanbag chair. I was a few pages into my book, when my eyes started to droop. Maybe I can just close my eyes for a few minutes, I thought. I laid there for a while, and I fell asleep.

*DREAM*

I was in a cute house, nestled in some woods. "Cal, honey!!" Lilly called. "Yes?" I said. "Can you take care of the baby for me?" She asked. " I'm really sleepy.." She said. I now noticed she was pale. " Are you ok?" I asked. "Yes. I'm just tired." She replied. "Okay. " I said, Lilly handing over the baby. She went into our room. Shortly after she left, the baby started crying. I went to the room, to find it different. It looked like a hospital, with Lilly hooked up to wires. Lilly turned to me. "I love you Cal. I'm sorry." She said. "What?" I asked confused. She closed her eyes. In alarm, I shook her. I heard a long beep noise. I looked over to see a moniter with a long straight line. She was gone. I cried out for help but no one came.
"HELP!!"
"HELP US!"
"PLEASE!"
"Someone.."

*DREAM OVER*

I woke up to someone shaking me.
"Cal?!"
"What's wrong?!??"
I looked up to see Gabby.
"What happened?" I asked. "You had a dream." She said, helping me stand up. I remembered the dream, and I fell back down, shaking. "Do you want to tell me?" She asked. I shook my head no. "That's ok. You need time." She said, grabbing my hand. She helped me walk out of the bookstore. Once we got into the sunlight, I noticed she looked really white. "Are you okay Gabbs?" I asked. "Oh!...um... Yeah I'm fine." She said. "Just hungry, that's all!" She said. I wasn't convinced.

We were walking to Lilly's room, when she stopped. "Im not going to see Lilly... I'm going to take a quick nap if it's okay." She said, stepping into what must of been her room. "Okay. See you later!" I said, waving.

I kept walking, and was almost to Lilly's room when I heard a commotion. I turned around, to see nurses crowding around a door. I got a better look, and saw it was near Gabbys room. In fact, it was right in front of it!
Oh no I thought, running over.

"Kid! There's nothing to see!" A man said.

"She's my friend!" I yelled. "What happened?!" I screamed.

"SHE PASSED OUT!" The man yelled, running down the hall with the stretcher.
