Ruive ran through the forest in time to hear Aragorn yell;

"Run!"

Ruive burst through the bushes to find Aragorn against a troop of Uruk-Hai. The two of the fought the Uruk-Hai with their swords, but they could not stop all of them getting passed.

"Find the Halfling! Find the Halfling!" Their leader called.

"Ruive, go!" Aragorn shouted.

Ruive nodded and ran after the Uruks swapping her sword for her bow and shooting them ahead of her. She swapped back to her sword as they began to engage her. By now Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli had caught up with her. One particularly large Uruk had chose to oppose Ruive and forced her back into a tree, the Uruk stabbed at her stomach leading Legolas to believe that it had stabbed her.

Ruive smirked at the foul creature who's weapon was now stuck in the tree.

"Missed." She spat before beheading the Uruk.

She looked to Aragorn who nodded at her briefly.

"Go."

She ran further down the hill, killing as many as she could. Ahead of her she could have sworn she heard Merry and Pippin yelling. Then the sound of a horn broke the air; the Horn of Gondor.

"Boromir." She whispered.

Ruive sprinted down the hill and charged into battle alongside Boromir who continued to blow his horn attracting the Uruks.

"I think they know where we are now." She snapped.

"Just making sure." Boromir replied.

Ruive and Boromir continued to fight, protecting Merry and Pippin, who they had told to run but were too frightened to move. What they didn't notice, was their leader notching an arrow in it bow. The arrow landed with a sickening sound in Boromir's left shoulder.

"Boromir!" Ruive cried, fighting off Uruks.

He fell to his knees, breathing hard, but he was not beaten yet. He rose to his feet and swung at the Uruks with a battle cry. Ruive saw the Uruk fire another arrow, this one landing in Boromir's stomach.

"No!"

Ruive pushed her way towards Boromir, who still continued to fight. A third arrow sunk into his chest, leaving Boromir gasping on his knees. The Uruk leader marched down the hill as Ruive fought her way to Boromir. Merry and Pippin had taken up their swords but never had the chance to strike, for the Uruks simply picked them up and ran away with them. Ruive tried to follow them, but the Uruks held her back one after the other attacking her and falling down defeated. The leader stood in front of Boromir aiming another arrow at him, Ruive drove her sword through the Uruk in front of her and charged at the leader and tackled him to the ground.

Ruive scrambled to her feet in time to block the attack from the Uruk. She turned the attack on the Uruk, she'd taken on Azog in worse physical conditions, she could take him easily. She pushed the Uruk into a tree and swung her sword high at its head, but it duck and grabbed Ruive and threw her into the tree. She fell to the ground, her back aching, she rolled out of the way of the Uruk's attack, loosing her sword. She took out her long daggers and held them up as the Uruk swung at her again and knock them out of the way and head butted her. Ruive fought back and pushed the Uruk off, she turned her head to the side and spat the blood from her mouth on the ground. She ran at the Uruk who stood with his stance wide ready for her attack, but she slid through its legs and sliced its knees. The Uruk roared in pain and spun around just as Ruive drove her newly retrieved sword into the ground and kicked her legs out into its chest causing it to stumbled back. Ruive pulled her sword out of the ground and drove it into the Uruk's stomach.
