Build something with me

It was the fith day of summer and Ferb and I had succeeded in doing a whole lot of nothing, just like we wanted. Ferb and his father came to live with us a few years ago, now his father is married to to my mom and Candace and I have Ferb as a new brother. It was strange at first having him around, he still was getting used to all the changes from England to the suberbs. But in a short time he and I became best friends.

We watched from the yard as the new family who moved in nextdoor walked up to our house. There was a women and a man who I assumed were the parents along with a girl about my and Ferb's age who must have been thier daughter. She was pretty, but not my type. I looked over to Ferb and saw his eyes fallowing her, maybe she was his type.

After a few minutes the girl came out the back door. "Hello." She said. Her voice was beautiful, but weak. She must be shy, I thought to myself and gave her a reassuring smile.

"Hey. I'm Phinieas and this is my brother Ferb." I told her.

"I'm Erin. Nice to me you." She said with a small smile in return.

Ferb, finding his tounge, looked at her saying "So you just moved in?" A small nod for Erin. "Well if you ever need anything my brother and I are right here."

She sat down and we talked for a wile. She told us that she used to live in a city on the east cost, but her family had to move here. Not saying why, I didn't ask. Actually, I didn't say much of anything, Ferb on the otherhand was talking a mile a minute.

"So what have you guys been doing so far this summer?" Erin asked.

"Nothing really, but who wants to acually do stuff over summer break?" Ferb said casually, I nodded in agreement.

Erin's eyes grew wide "That won't do!" She exclaimed. "We have so little time, you have to do something. If you don't your just waisting your life, you don't have forever."

"Erin, time to go." Her mother called out, interupting her mid rant.

Erin stood and looked at us,"tomarrow," she said, "we are going to do something. I'll be here early, so don't waste time sleeping the day away." Then she ran back to her house.

Ferb and I looked at eachother, "you don't think she's serious do you." I asked him. He shurged. That night we made sure to go to bed early.

The next day, Erin showed up at our door at 7:30 am. She had a determined look in her eyes and a toolbox in her hand. "Let's build something." She said.

After a moment we were in the garage collecting scraps, "what are we building?" Ferb asked.

"I don't know. Whatever ever you want." She said survaying the stuff we had.

"How about a skateboard ramp?" I sugessted, trying to think of something easy.

Erin pondered for a minute, then looked at us noodding. "Ithink I know what we're going to do today."

It was the hardest work of my life. The sun beat down, sweat was dripping and I had blisters on my hands. A few times Candace came out with snacks and to make sure we didn't kill ourselves. It was so fun. Erin said that Ferb and I had a gift. Soon the ramp was done.

We stood admiring our work before grabbing our boards and testing it out. By the time Erin left we were beeming with sunburnt faces. "Same time tomarrow?" Ferb asked.

"Sure, see you" Erin said and left.
