"I am noble too, oh Lord of Wolves. Starlight was my mother; and my father was the dark."

The Queen of the Awoken is as much an enigma as the Reef she rules. It is said that she won her crown through ruthlessness, and that she stands as master of the Fallen House of Wolves in place of their defeated Kell.

The City's rise spells an end to the Reef's age of isolation. The Queen will surely look to this new era as an opportunity. And the City, in turn, must look to her. The Reefborn Awoken have spent long ages out on the edge of everything, and they may know secrets of terrible weight - the Queen most of all.

Welcome to the Reef

I walked back to the ship I had landed on just processing exactly what had just happened. Everything had happened so fast, being revived, then fighting through waves of Darkness, and then being claimed as one of the Warlocks. The ship surprisingly had a sleeping bag and a safety jacket that I could use for a makeshift sleeping area.

"So Ghost, now do you feel like telling me what exactly just happened or am I going to have to find it out on my own?" I ask before I shut down the ship's main interface.

"I could tell you, but what fun would that be?" He responds

"Well aren't you just helpful."

"It's not like I saw anything different than you did."

I begin to feel a wave of fatigue flow over me as if everything I had done that day has finally caught up with me. I needed to sleep and with the sound of it I have a big day tomorrow.

"Ghost wake me in seven hours." I command before drifting off into sleep.

"Guardian, up and at 'em" I hear as I wake up from the dreamless sleep.

I go into the ship's bathroom and grab a quick shower before I go meet Ikora for my new armor and some training. Surprisingly I remembered more about how to function than I thought. I figured being dead would have a bit of an effect on me but now it feels like it was a long painful nap instead of being dead.

The walk from the hangar to the Hall of Guardians as they called it was not a long walk but it was enough for me to plan out what I'd say. I figured I had a decent idea of what to expect, but what I saw ahead was nothing like what I had assumed. Roughly fifty Guardians were standing beside Ikora, high-ranking officers or the elite I assume, all dressed similar with the same general colors. Each one of them had similar arm braces on; they all bared the same signal. A distant memory tugged at the back of my mind as if I had seen this symbol before but there was nothing that came to mind.

"Ghost" I whispered, "what is that symbol on their armbands and more importantly should I be scared of these people?"

"These are other warlocks and soon to be your comrades, as for the mark they bare, that is the rune of the disciple. Just be calm and don't say anything unless someone asks." The Ghost replies

"Guardians," Ikora announces, " today marks the day when we have a new member within our ranks. This human is now one of us, to watch him grow and develop as a force of the light. To commemorate this day we have a set of armor and some other niceties for the new guardian. Toland please present this new Guardian with his gifts."

"With pleasure Ikora." One guardian says, "Guardian I am Toland creator of the pulse rifle known as the Bad Juju. Today I grant you status as one of the warlocks. The warlocks normally specialize in Void and Solar magic. Come see me after this is over and I can get you started."
