Ikora Rey's second life has been long and colorful. As an iconoclastic new Guardian, she made a reputation in the Crucible and in the halls of Warlock scholarship as an outspoken, unrelenting opponent with no patience for dogma or etiquette.

That reputation became a burden, and Ikora chose to travel alone, flying reconnaissance across the worlds of the inner solar system. Shot down again and again, she and her Ghost survived against all odds, apparently preferring the wilderness to the company of her fellow Guardians.

When Ikora finally returned to the City to rest, her hard-won knowledge and seasoned temperament commanded the respect of her fellow Warlocks. She now serves in the Vanguard as a mentor and leader, carrying the memory of her wandering days as a link to rising Guardians

"Guardian?" A metallic voice asks, "Eyes up Guardian."

As I open my eyes I take a look at my surroundings there are ruined cars all around me, and a building left in ruins to decay. I look to my body and see strange armor, I don't remember why but I felt a strong sense that the little guy had my survival in mind.

"Wow I cant believe I found you, you've been dead a long time. So there might be things you don't understand. I need to get you to the city." It says "Come on did you hear me I said we are going to die out here. Lets get going."

I feel like this guy is telling the truth so I decide to follow him, after all I have only been alive for a few minutes but what do I know.

"I'm a Ghost, actually now I'm your ghost. We need to get on the move we're deep in fallen territory." He says

I get up and stretch out my arms and legs a bit just to make sure that nothing was broken. Luckily I'm fine and nothing is broken too bad, I take the helmet and a UI shows up as I put it and the user interface flickers to life. Down at the bottom I see my vitals and up at the top, a small radar with red marks closing in behind me. That is enough to snap me out of my little stupor and I make a break for the door.

We make it into the building and once I'm inside I know exactly where we are. We are in a military base. Why had I died outside one of these? We make it to a catwalk over a huge testing chamber; the floor is about thirty feet down and covered in darkness. The Ghost comes out of my back plate and floats just above my shoulder and is casting a small beam of light so that I can see where I'm going.

"We need to get some light in here, the Fallen thrive in the Darkness here let me out in front of that panel I'll see what I can do," The ghost says. I'm able to see him in the corner of the helmet. I open my hand in front of the panel and he goes to work. "Dang it a hardened military system and a few thousand years on entropy working against me, I'll see what I can do."

After about a minute of standing there waiting, the lights flash on and a door creaks open revealing a rusted pulse rifle with roughly two hundred rounds sitting on a crate. Don't know if this is enough but as soon as I grab the rifle an icon appears into the bottom left and the amount of ammunition is next to it. I decide to take a few shots at a wall-mounted target to make sure the chamber isn't rusted beyond repair, thank god it isn't. As I get familiar with the rifle there's an enemy creeping behind me. The radar showed he was twenty feet behind me, I pulled out my rifle, aimed down the sight, and fired a burst of three bullets into the enemy's skull and he drops with a thud. I decide to go check the body as the Ghost to let me know what the next step is; we need to get to a ship to get me to the tower

"Watch your back there are traps set up here by the Fallen"

"Really? I thought they were dance lights," My sarcasm was still in tact after being dead at least that's a plus.

After managing to shoot down and crawl under most of the traps we were finally outside and I found the ship the Ghost was talking about. But just my luck it was up in a tangled mess of wires and cables. "So Ghost how do you suggest we get this thing down and functioning? This thing could maybe take out the wires but the cables are way too thick to shoot through."

"Here I'll go to try to get the ship out and power it just enough to break the wires so we can the ship powered just enough to pull free, only thing is there are a ton of Fallen in there so you'll have to take them out while I work."

"Well this should be fun, lets get it done and start this."

Surprisingly enough this took only ten minutes because I was able to find a good spot on the ships wing to stand and shoot them down but then the worst possible moment came. I ran out of ammo trying to break through a shield of one of the captains. "Ghost I'm out of ammo how's that ship going?"

"I'm trying to syphon some power from the system just so I can get to orbit. But there is a sniper rifle down there if you can get to there you should be fine to get ammo and an extra weapon. "

"Ghost I hope you don't get me killed" I shout as I jump down off the wing and run to the crate. All the enemies turned and took aim as I ran to the sniper once the rifle was attached to my back the ship flared to life and killed the captain.

"So Guardian, need a ride?" the ghost opens up the bay door and I climb on. "I'm going to take you to the tower, the last safe place on earth.

"The Tower. Sounds daunting. Lets hope they have a place to get this all repaired."

Upon landing in the hangar we were greeted by a man who had his face covered by a mask. He calls himself the Speaker the voice of the traveler; I am invited to a meeting among the commanders. Master Zavala the titan vanguard, Lord Shaxx the crucible quartermaster, Ikora Rey the warlock vanguard, and Cayde-6 the hunter vanguard. They all sat together talking about me. After a while Ikora stands up and faces my direction.

"Guardian we have all talked and have decided your place is among the warlocks. Should you choose to accept I have a new armor set for you and a talisman to let you change between Void magic and Solar Magic; may you learn to wield them well," She says to me

"I accept your offer. In the morning I will come pick it up but now I shall sleep in my ship."

"Guardian, it's a shame not to have you amongst the hunters, you seem like a good one I can't wait to work with you." Cayde-6 said
