Brandon kept his promise and was waiting for Callie on the side of a curb. She involuntarily smiled at him, and he couldn’t help but grin back. She went to stand next to him but he placed an arm around her and pulled her into his chest. “Brandon, this can’t happen all the time,” she whispered into his shirt.
“I know, let me enjoy the moment though,” he replied with closed eyes as he hugged her body close to his.
They pulled away and got in the car without speaking. Once they were seated and on the road Brandon opened his mouth. “So you never answered my first question.” Callie raised an eyebrow at him confused. “What are we?”
“We are human beings that live on the planet Earth,” Callie replied, her smart mouth earning a pouty face from Brandon. “We’re Brandon and Callie. I love you, you love me. That’s it really. I don’t know if we can be more, and I don’t want to attempt it.”
“You kissed me though!” he shot defensively, anger boiling in his blood.
“I love you, is that not enough for now?” she asked quietly, her eyes averting from Brandon head who was turned towards the road. He sighed loudly, making it obvious it wasn’t enough but he nodded agreeing. Silence flowed through the car until they pulled into the driveway. Neither of them moved an inch.
“I won’t be able to keep my hands off you now,” he said so silently she almost couldn’t hear him as he looked down at his lap.
“Who said you had to?” she smirked. He shot her a confused glance while she unbuckled her seatbelt and pulled his head down to kiss her. This kiss was different than the last. It was passionate and both of them now moved their mouths in sync with each other. Callie paused and pulled away. “Just not in front of Stef and Lena,” she breathed heavily against his pink lips. He smiled and pushed her down against the seat of the car, placing his lips back to hers as sign of agreement.
Brandon took a break to speak. “How did we go,” he pecked her lips with his, “from barely speaking to this?”
“I have no idea,” she said in between gasps of air. Brandon rolled over to lie beside her awkwardly and uncomfortably. Callie laughed and scooted over so he could lie beside her somewhat normally. He turned his face towards her, pressing his nose to hers.
“I love you,” he whispered.
“I love you too,” she replied.
“You can never leave me now,” he said seriously before breaking into a small smirk.
“I wouldn’t dare,” she replied, her face turning red as Brandon rubbed his nose against hers.
“Good.”
This was short because I just wanted a fluffy chapter for ya’ll so yeah.
